Title?

Bought these drinks. They taste very nice. I think it is the latest drinks on the supermarket shelves.

Gosh, I cannot believe that I am feeling sleepy at work. I cannot believe it!! It doesn't mean work is boring. Maybe I didn't have enough sleep. Ish.. tea caffeine doesn't work on me anymore. Sigh..

Anyway, uni has already started as all my friends are back in town. Managed to catch up with them on Wednesday. It's not just friends from uni though. One of them is working. We really talked a lot. I didn't feel like leaving. Wanted to continue to talk so I told them that we should catch up again. =P I think I am quite free now that I am not studying.

I saw a job that I thought is good and applied last night. Guess what, I got a rejection reply today. Sad =( The internet has been weird lately, maybe should get wireless security systems. The eternet line is alright but not the wireless. Like say, darling is talking on the phone in the room and the wireless internet line just dropped off. Wait, it's not the same thing. Urgh, I am just going to stop babbling. I feel like sleeping now. Night.

Meetups

The photos are probably too small to see but that is my main point for doing that in the first place. I don't want people to see their faces. Hehehe.. as long as you can recognize the people, it is good enough. So one of them was the reason why we all caught up. She came back from aussie for holiday and decide to meet up with a few of us. Sadly, I did not attend her farewell during the mid year so this time, I made sure that I caught up with her. This was probably taken last week.

This week has been fairly busy for me. I was asked to help out for the graduations ceremony. My job was to make sure that the buses are there on time to pick up and drop off passengers. I followed the graduans to the town hall, marching with them in the morning. I couldn't go in the town hall though since I do not have any invitations. I stayed in the park to read my book. It was the book that Gen gave to me. I am almost done. Come Friday, I should finish my reading.

Right, I talked so much about the second interview that I feel embarrassed to say that I did not get call back from them. Let's just say that I need to try again. I read somewhere that even though the interviews have gone well, it does not mean that you will get a job. Yes, that is very right so I should not feel too upset. Try again.

Free

I met up with friends on Saturday as I think one of them are going back home. Not for good. Coming back again. I spread my good news to my friends about finishing uni but darling told me to get my degree schedule checked with student advisor. The friend has to come back to study one paper for semester 2 after finding out that he is lack of 4 more points to finish his degree. Bummer. He has actually prepared to go home for good and even secured himself a job too. I know it's a bummer but what to do. So I should get mine checked too. I booked appointment since other students would be coming in to check theirs.

So now, people ask me what is next. Well, I think next is finding a job. While hunting for jobs, I shall enjoy my time not doing anything ie bumming around.=P Just got interrupted by RA coming in to check the flat. I think they are planning to put more people in my flats. Sigh.. I do enjoy being by myself though. I guess they don't want to isolate people.

Leaving

It's the end of the year when friends leave to go home and some stays here. Most of them left though, things quieten down and probably less social outings. Few friends were leaving for good as they finish their studies.



Took some photos with some friends. One of my flatmate left to go back home today. The other flatmates and I sent her down and waited with her till the shuttle arrived. We had dinner together last night and the food was so good. It's spicy and very yum. It was Johor Laksa. It sort of made me think about what ignredients we have in our Sarawak laksa and do I even know how to cook it. Honestly, I don't know. Hehe..



I tidied up and threw away some stuff that I don't need or those that pile up in the room. I am throwing all my notes too, Iif no one wants to 'borrow' my notes. This was yesterday. I couldn't be bothered to do any today though. I spent the morning with flatmates and then went to careerhub. I booked to hear about the tips for interview. I also got my cv and cover letter checked. There were tips and advice too. In the end, I came back with a big load of papers/booklets to go through. Hehe.. I will have fun putting a lot of stuff into my cv and cover letter.

Relax first

I spent the first day of the exams-free-day online the whole day and just catching up with whoever was online. Well most of them are my relatives. It felt so good to chat with them because I haven't been online properly for so long. Even if I do go online, I don't usually switch on the instant messenger. I knew that I would go off-line and started wasting my time. You see, I take a long time to understand my notes. I need to keep re-reading them over and over. A nerd huh...

I found the photo above in my old camera. Just the other day when sherp mentioned about wanting a video camera, I offered her the old camera. She refused since there is no sound from the video. Told me to sell it. At first, I felt reluctant because dad bought it for me and I think it was quite expensive at that time. But it's just gona sit in my room doing nothing and depreciating. So, I advertised on trademe and got it sold.

I went through some of my old stuff, hoping that I could sell off some of the stuff that I do not want and depreciating as time goes by. I found some gold necklaces that I was most likely given when I was younger. These necklaces are precious to me, I don't want to sell it. It's a big part of my life. =) Hmm.. maybe I can look around for Gold Initial Pendant. It would be nice to have your initial as your necklace. =)

Finally

Finally I am done with exams. I dare not say so much about exams, just hoping that I pass everything. That is what that matters for now. =) It has been hard to login to blog. Not sure what happens as cousins have been able to blog but I cannot. Well, maybe because I still had exams.

Hmm.. time to catch up with friends before start full on on tidying up the room. I shall not do anything but online tonight. =) I finish all my energy drinks too and shall not be drinking too much from now on. Not good for health. Talk about being health conscious, I don't even watch what I eat. As in I should put veges in my diet and not eat oily food. Well, I shall try now that I am more free-er.

It's also time to start looking for jobs permanently. I haven't exactly started hard out looking for jobs and already I got rejections. I expected that so I shouldn't feel bad about it. A friend mentioned that someone he knows, took 6 months to find a job. Looks like I need to do something about it. There should be more jobs coming up since it's summer. Hopefully.

No colourful photos

You know what, I should have studied management science. Apparently, there is a quite a bit of statistics stuff in the subject. I could have a double degree instead of a double major. Alright, enough of this talk.

I was in the bus when I thought, I always have the luxury of sitting in the car to everywhere. Well, not exactly but at least it was most of the time. I am lucky when it comes to this. I mean, some people might have to take the bus during the whole of their university life. How about whole life? Well, I have not met anyone who takes the bus everywhere their whole life. I don't mean in really big cities like London. That one, you definitely don't need a car. I think the transport system is good enough. But here in Christchurch, I don't think so. I am rambling again.

Friday night, it was a friend's birthday so we had dinner at some posh Chinese restaurant. Dishes was ok though one dish is full of chilli and I can't even see chicken. Dish was called hot and spicy chicken. It was really nice to catch up with them. It feels like yesterday that we hung out so much and talk so much. But in reality, it has been almost 10 months. Oh and it's the second anniversary of mosaic this week and we are going. I think it was expected to be big but I'm not so sure. Well, let's see. I shall update about it.

There were more clean up of the garage and the living room this weekend too. And I made my waffles for brunch. Hehe.. it was alright but I don't like the whole-wheat flour that I put in. I think I would prefer white flour. I watched Ugly Truth and Orphan last night. Ugly Truth was just typical romantic movie that you predict the main actress and actor to be together in the end. Orphan was different. It was quite slow torturing thriller. I shall not say anything about the story in case any of you want to watch. That kind of disorder really do exist in the real world.

Dinner

Anu's friend, Gina came down from Hamilton to spend her holidays with her last weekend. Em, Li and I have heard so much about her so we actually planned to have dinner but em and li couldn't make it. So it was only the four of us above in the photo. It was good conversation that we have during dinner. They went into town after that. Darling and I couldn't go with them as we were busy with the house and needed to sleep early too. So yea..

Oh yea.. I passed my driving test this morning. I am so happy that I finally have my full licence. That means I can drive either manual or auto car now. So far, studies have been going fine. I tried to finish my homework everyday so I have time for myself on either reading story books or even textbooks. Hahaha.. joking la, I don't read textbook unless it's nearly exams. Textbooks are boring to read. Oh there's the house unpacking that still needed to be done. It's not exactly finished because all of us are either busy working or attending lectures and doing homework. We only do it when I 'ordered' the boxes to be taken out from the garage. Hehehe..

Birthday

Thank you all for wishing me birthday wishes on facebook and in text messages. It was awesome. It actually doesn't matter if I don't get presents, just as long as friends, families, etc remembers and wishing me. That's enough for me. =)

I had lunch with Mer, Em, Liyana and Anu at Nandos. It wasn't just about catch up or about my birthday. We were actually celebrating all of our birthdays with Em in Dec, Mer and Li in January and mine on the day itself. Anu's birthday is coming up in May too.

Then, the night was dinner with darling. =)

I got presents from darling. He bought some clothes for me. Hmm.. I shall upload those pictures in fashion blog. It will take me some time as uni is starting and I am also working on Monday. I shall also upload the pictures of my birthday cake. =)

Eve's night

Which image is nicer? Your opinion.

I bet everyone has CNY eve dinner night with families right? I mean if you are with your family. I don't mean to offend those who don't have their family by their side now.

We have one less person as Sherp took the photo. Dinner was alright.

The mall was busy with people walking about, some window shopping and some doing real shopping. But it was quite quiet in the morning when I went though. The business hours here usually starts from 10am to 1pm and starts again from 4pm to 10pm. It's different compared to business hours in Malaysia and NZ.

I shall stop babbling here and get back to food.

Nasi Lemak

Today, we had nasi lemak. It was awesome. Love the feeling of people gathering together and eat happily especially on certain occasion. I love gatherings especially if it involves food. =)

Just a few weeks ago when she blogged about custom rubber stamp, it reminded me so much of what we used to do when we were younger. Hmm.. so what did we do? I know I did saved money to buy the date stamp. I also bought other kind of stamp with cute stuff. I think I kept a lot. Had to throw away all of those when I moved. Sigh.. what a pity..

I went to another field trip for six days. Having friends along made the trip better as I don't like the walking and the work assessment.

I helped a bit for the Malaysian ball coming up at the end of August. The photo showed how nicely decorated the dinner hall that night.

Before the end of the term, we had a party to get together before everyone started having exams and heading for summer holidays.

ICF-ers had a retreat trip to Hamner Springs in mid Nov. It was a good opportunity as I haven't been to Hamner Springs before.

That's it for the year 2008 of what I have been doing. Hopefully we will have wonderful years ahead. =)

Fridays

After church on Friday morning, we either headed out for breakfast or go to supermarkets for groceries. The breakfasts? Well, if you have seen the roti tisu photo that I put in some time ago, that's where we had our breakfast. The two photos that I have put up are from one of the supermarket trips we went.

Shall I call it gossip centre? Haha.. It was fun to stand there talking while waiting for the adults to find each other. We also have a few times of watching movies together. Since Ivy, Charlene and Raymond started school, we managed to watch movies on Friday nights. I have two more weekends before sherp and I are due to fly back to Christchurch. Sigh.. the holidays are ending soon.

Looking on

In late June, I flew back to KL to meet her. Flight was actually to Brunei but since I missed the domestic flight, I had to redirect my flight to KL. It was fun in KL when she also came up from Miri. Another cousin also joined us.

We even went out movi-ing together. On the weekend, the other cousin came to see me. Aww.. so sweet of him. All the way from PutraJaya. I am craving for peanut butter.. what is it again? I forgot..

Allyz was in NZ for 2 months and she was due to fly end of July. It was fun to hang out with her. I am glad to meet her. =)

After having so much fun with going out as a big group and farewell dinner for Allyz, we sent her to the airport.

Two weeks after that, my family came to Christchurch. I shall elaborate more on the next post.

3/4 Full

I am almost done with packing luggage for Doha. It's 3/4 full as of my title. Don't worry, it hasn't reach 20kgs yet. I am adding the important things to bring in before adding my own stuff. Shall I bring my hard disk? I am actually planning to bring more movies for family to watch, that reminds me to get movies off from Tom. After a week of bumming around, shopping and a little bit of packing, this is the last week of the year before I head off to Doha. Sigh.. I am going to miss darling so much. =(

I did caught up with my sleep though. I actually have been sleeping for more than 9 hours. I can't help getting up halfway and toss turn before falling asleep. Let me tell you, the normal me cannot sleep for more than 11 hours. It's only when I am really very tired.

So, what's up with me not updating the blog for more than 2 days? Well, I had a girls' night with friends on Friday night in town. One of the friends is going to go back home for good in December, hence the catch up. Two of them are leaving the early next year after finishing their study. We caught up again on Sunday afternoon to do some beads in Art Centre. =)

I spent Saturday afternoon, helping darling with his work at office. I did the filing though. It wasn't that hard. Hmm.. I was thinking that I shall help dad with filing if he ever need help in office. It's something that I can do and something new for me.

After Mosaic on Sunday, we went out to Ancestral for drinks. It has been a long time since we went there. 3 weeks, I think. This time, there's no photos. All are still in the camera. Let me get back to the packing now. Ta

I still haven't finish packing everything. I actually did not pack anything at all yesterday and whole day today. Had a nice dinner with darling last night, it was our 4th month anniversary. =) After looking at the stars, went straight to Mer's place. Had a girls' night too. It was good.

Darling bought me this teddy bear. So cute.. :P

I think I have space to put in the ps2 so I guess, sherp and veep don't have to worry about me not bringing them over. It's just that I think the fragile things will knock each other. Know what, PS3 are getting cheaper. Maybe we can buy them in 2 years time? =P

Long

I wanted to blog about this a long time ago before I started my exams but I just did not find the time. But here it is.

ICF-ers always have the tea and coffee during study break to help students relieve their stress and have a chat of anything. =)

I'm feeling lazy to pack up my things. I feel even more sleepy each day too. Feel emotionally strained too. Sigh..

My laptop's right side speaker is cacat-ed (means spoiled). And DVD-ROM too. Sigh.. I did not buy the keyboard btw. Got given by darling. =)

One down

Yep, one down and one more to go. I guess the one-down exam was alright. I cannot remember everything I studied entirely though. It would be really amazing if someone actually do that. I mean, memorize almost the whole notes or textbook notes just for the exam. I tried drawing diagrams and memorizing how the diagrams look like.

Okie.. tat is small and you may not be able to see properly. But you can google on water table and that is one of the topics I had to study for. And I think I already forgot everything about the course. Actually, not all though. =P

Anyway, here's something to show you.

This was taken on Guy Fawkes night. I think all of them were looking and talking about how to put up tp 3 or 4 fireworks together. Yea, it was quite cold that night and you can see from how Em covered herself. With the blankets.

Yup, the title says it. I took quite few photos last night. Some are with another friend. We were the camera people that night.

It's nice, right? I did take few videos. It's quite dark so I don't think I will upload here. Maybe in facebook. Oh yea, it was Guy Fawkes Night yesterday night. Not sure if they still have the fireworks by the beach. I didn't go to the beach last year to watch though but I did in the first year.

It's cloudy today

Feels like I haven't been blogging for a week but it has only been 3 days since I last blogged. ICF had a bbq lunch at Mark's place, our ICF leader who leads the Bible study during the school term.

I have been studying since the last time I blogged. I actually finish reading one of my Stats course and halfway on one of Geology. I will be having these 2 exams next week on Thursday, hopefully I finish everything by this week and started on the other 2 exams. =) Good progress. *pats myself on the shoulder* Hahaha.. must be thinking I am crazy for saying that to myself in my own blog. I actually studied in the dining room in the afternoon and my room in the morning and at night.

Oh oh.. I got my Harvest Times magazine this morning. I am so happy. Lynnw helped to sign me up for the magazine. She had this magazine when we were about to board the plane from KL to Miri. I love the magazine, it has wonderful articles. I am so glad that they sent the magazine for free all the way to NZ. It's actually from Singapore. Ok, now I will go back to my study. My next post? I am not sure, it depends on my mood.
