I still want to be doctor
I guess it depends on one's passion for something. If you are genuinely interested in something, you will make big effort to study or research more on it.
But right, you don't necessary have to become a doctor to be in the health sector. I guess, can work as admin or nurse. So people who really want to work in health sector could look up in the health care job site.

Keep praying and trying
More people looking for jobs? Goodness, that means anyone who has a job is lucky to have them. But some people are also looking elsewhere. Hmm.. Some got the payrise in the midst of all these.
I am considered lucky to have a job so I shouldn't complain yeah? I want another job also no one wants to hire. I kept getting rejected. Sigh, well I am not giving up though. I will keep trying.
It's not that I am not satisfied with the current job but I still need to keep looking as the current one is not permanent. Also need to improve myself so the current can turn permanent. But currently, they are thinking of restructuring so there is a possibility that it will not become permanent.
Let's hope for something, yeah?

Brrr
Update on job hunting. I think my job hunting will slow down a little bit. I just accepted a job offer. At least there will be some income coming in and I will be doing something. I actually hate to stay at home doing nothing. It just gives me the feeling of being helpless and boredom. I knew God has a plan for me. I was right to trust Him and let Him lead me through the job hunting and interviewing process. Very happy. =)
I think I walked too much in the wrong shoes yesterday and now I got blister on my feet. Sigh.. it doesn't help me to lose weight because of the recent weather too. I should probably check out quick weight loss diet if I am desperate, or maybe I should start my working session soon. Have been lazying around lately. Hoho..

Wintery
Weather has been cloudy and rainy since Sunday. I guess this is a start towards winter. According to the weather forecast, snow will be coming in on Thursday or Friday this week. Hmm.. now I feel like skiing. Hohoho..
I recall buying mens ties for one of my relatives ages ago. I wonder if he wears it. It's a colourful tie so not exactly suitable for work. Lol It's a Christmas tie. Maybe he should wear it during Christmas season.

I will keep dreaming
Having your own home theater seating in your own home is really cool. You can just rent dvds and watch them in your comfort zone. Best of all, you can wear pyjamas with blankets around. Eh you can even have friends over and have a girls night. Hmm.. this is something I like to invest in for the future huh.. I mean, look at the photo below. Don't you want something like that? Oh you can even play games with the high definition tv. I went to a friend's house where there is a games/movie room. It's good to have it separate from the living room in case someone wants to watch the tv and you want to play games. I know it is expensive to have this room so I shall wait till I have the extra money huh? =P

CNY and Valentine
Ever since I started work, I feel tired at night, all I wanted to do was rest and sleep early. Oh darling wanted my 100% attention too so I didn't get to online much. Hehe.. not that I am complaining about that. I am just saying that my life is getting boring if it is not for the Valentine and CNY occasions now. Oh yea and my birthday coming up too. Darling is supposed to plan things to do on my birthday but I decide to take over and plan what to do. Movies and dinner. Yay!! He kept asking me what I want for my birthday. I really have no idea what I want. Then, he decide not to buy anything for me to save money and I gave a hmmph face. Something interesting that do not require expensive things would make me happy. *hint hint* Lol.
So sis transited on Sunday, managed to pass me some of the clothes that mum bought for me. Yay!! I wore the working pants and boots to work today. It will be up in the fashion blog soon, when I get the time to do it. Hehe.. Work was good today, not too bad. I probably did mention about the unemployment rate being high in NZ now, really glad that this job came back to me. At least I am doing something and gaining work experience.

I like to babble

A photo to brighten up the post. =P Got the book as Christmas present. Was just thinking the other day that we should do some travelling on our own. 2 of my team members from work are from UK. They landed on NZ in Nov last year and decided to stay here for few months to work for extra money and go travel more. Really amazed at how they are doing at the moment. My office table looks bare, I am thinking of decorating something or putting some nice stuff on the desk. First thing is tissue box. I am sure all girls who work would do that. Oh I need office supplies too such as pencils, pens, note books, refills, etc. I do write things down. Having two screens is great but keep looking at it strains my eyes.
Anyhow, work so far is going great. I have since change my working hours, more like getting up earlier and finishing earlier too. Not that it is any different. Going to the zoo is out of the plan again since the weather turned miserable. =( Will be doing some shopping instead. Groceries, not clothes shopping. I really haven't been shopping for clothes for so long. It is tempting but I put the word SAVE into mind so ended up not doing any.
So, CNY... first time not spending CNY with my family. =( It is sad, I love how we usually ate together at the table with delicious food and just talk about anything. Well, at least it was me babbling on and on. Hehehe.. I didn't like silence and considering that I wasn't home much, I just babbled anything from my mind. Hmm.. my parents must be thinking that I am so talkative. Hahaha.. I once told my mum that I used to talk to myself during my first year of university. My reason was that I was lonely and had no one to talk to. I was so used to talking with my family at home, especially during dinner time. Family, relatives and friends who knows me well, will probably commented that I do babble a lot on anything. Lol.

Museums

This was taken ages ago. Went to the Air Force Museum to look at air force planes. I was actually anticipating any sort of aircraft but it was just air force. Nevertheless, I enjoyed looking at all of them. Even managed to take some photos with them with darling.
The weather has been sunny. Now this is what I call summer and it is so hot.
First day was work was quite relaxing. There were introduction from other team and my team from the same department during morning tea. Glad to meet new people. =) Three people from my team including myself started this week as it was easier to train smaller group of people. We had tour around the building too. The afternoon was spent on doing online assessment. Training started tomorrow. I am looking forward to it. =) Really.
Every time darling and I drove past someone riding motorcycle, we always check out the bike. I know it is cool to ride one but it is dangerous too. Darling mentioned that accidents happen because the motorcyclists do not focus on where they want to go. Instead they focus on something like a pole on the road and that is where they end up. If somehow crash into people or cars, then should get motorcycle accident lawyer.

I am qualified =)
Oh I found cinema studies is among the courses offered from Canterbury University. Sis sure would love to study something that. It's in the Bachelor of Arts category.
Darling and I are thinking of buying a ps3 or wii for our high definition tv. After a long discussion, we decide not to buy.
I know it would be nice to have ps3 but the games are so expensive. I would love to have wii but now is not right time.

Sharing is caring
This article tells about what university degrees pays well. Everyone knows that the more you study, the more qualified you are. If you are studying specialization study eg medicine, engineering, accounting, sure you will get a job and higher pay. I studied a science degree which is quite general so finding the job that I want is really hard. Right now, I am not only for a job in my field but other jobs in other field. Of course, not the specialized jobs because I do not have knowledge in the field.
But guess what, this article told me that my statistics major is one of the best job in the world. I did try to apply for statistics job but I just haven't got any interviews yet. It is still early in the days of hunting for jobs. Of course everyone will feel the desperation while on the job hunting and unemployed. I felt that in the previous month. Now that I have temporary job, I do not feel that. But hey, I do need to find a job before this temporary job ends otherwise I would unemployed.
I was considering to study more. Not honours or post-grad. Seriously, I do not think I could excel in them. Not that I am not confident that I won't excel. It's just my way of writing academic essays which made me not to go ahead. Now, why do I feel like I want to study for another degree? I think I just thought I couldn't find a job. Really, I should try to find part time job where I can gain more skills and experience. Now, that is where I am stuck at the moment. I am looking and because I am not experienced, no one wants to hire me.
I recommend those who are looking for part time jobs to go into retail. The retail experience is really important. I see that there are more retail jobs which are easier to find. I think teenagers, if they can, start from younger age to get into any kind of part time job. It will be easier when they graduate from university or college and looking for full time permanent job.
I like to share this site on interviews, job hunting etc. I really think the website is good since it did help me for my interviews so far. Though I didn't get job offer.

Cave streaming

The last time I went cave streaming, it was 2008 April during the autumn season and the water was really cold. Wait, summer water was also cold. Aih.. not sure which season the water is the coldest. Anyway, it was fun cave streaming. The company was great too. Not that the company during autumn season wasn't good. I enjoy cave streaming with all of them. It means, they are adventurous. Oh, the water was up to my tummy this time though. Not sure if it was because of the season level or not though. Towards the end of the cave streaming was the worst, you have to climb up the 'ladder' on the cave and use the chains to guide you out of the cave. It is a little hard to describe but you will understand when you cave-stream yourself.
Anyway, I would recommend the place to anyone who comes to Christchurch. It is not always you get to do something that is not something you would do. =P When I first came to uni, I was the girl who wouldn't do this and that. I am not sure when and what made me decide, life is short, if you don't take this chance, there will be no other chance. That is the risk that I take and yes, there were mistakes along the way, but do I regret? It really depends on what it is.
After two weeks of working for student admin card centre, I have one invitation for assessment. Hopefully I do well and hopefully I get the job despite the fact that I would have to leave the card job. It's the experience that counts if you ask me. You should see how many cover letters I have done and saved in my thumbdrive and computer. It is time for me to transfer to a bigger hard disk. I am running out of space to store them. I wonder if I could store them as online backup. Then, it wouldn't be a hassle if I forgot to bring my thumbdrive.

Meetups

The photos are probably too small to see but that is my main point for doing that in the first place. I don't want people to see their faces. Hehehe.. as long as you can recognize the people, it is good enough. So one of them was the reason why we all caught up. She came back from aussie for holiday and decide to meet up with a few of us. Sadly, I did not attend her farewell during the mid year so this time, I made sure that I caught up with her. This was probably taken last week.
This week has been fairly busy for me. I was asked to help out for the graduations ceremony. My job was to make sure that the buses are there on time to pick up and drop off passengers. I followed the graduans to the town hall, marching with them in the morning. I couldn't go in the town hall though since I do not have any invitations. I stayed in the park to read my book. It was the book that Gen gave to me. I am almost done. Come Friday, I should finish my reading.
Right, I talked so much about the second interview that I feel embarrassed to say that I did not get call back from them. Let's just say that I need to try again. I read somewhere that even though the interviews have gone well, it does not mean that you will get a job. Yes, that is very right so I should not feel too upset. Try again.

Second one is much better

Another
I actually had a phone interview before I was asked for a face to face interview too. I was happy to be short-listed. It is not like I get the job but it is an improvement for me to get short-listed. Before this was list of rejections.
Update on the garden, the lettuces on the left side in the photo, the outer leaves are dead so I cut it off and new leaves are growing. I do not think I should pull them off for sandwich yet. I think, maybe I should give it another 2 weeks. Weather has been cloudy this week and will be for the next 3 days so I hope the seeds can grow well.

As days goes by
Ever since I finish exams, I had time to think a lot. I wanted to blog about them but the moment I sat down, my mind just went blank. So I ended up chatting on google or watching series. Wasted my time but it is kind of nice to just sit there and watch something without having to do other stuff. Oh, I caught up with ICF friends and one of them bought a book for me when she went for an interview in Sidney.

I have started reading it already. =) Anyway, I thought a lot, I think I tend to run away from problems a lot. Maybe because I don't want to face reality, I know I have to face it eventually but the heart kept telling me no no, I just want to run away. My head told me if I don't do this, the problem will just linger around. It is hard to try to face reality but I am trying to.

Fussy and modernized

You know what, I stayed in Ilam before and I never really took photo or appreciate staying here last time. This time, I did. The building looks really nice and I start to appreciate that I have a nice place to stay. I am quite fussy when it comes to living in a place. If I don't like a place, I make my staying miserable. I prefer modernized kitchen, bathroom and comfortable room. Look at the house and how I had chosen the tiles and everything.

I didn't know ring terminals looks like that. How ignorant am I. Somemore, I don't know what is the use of it.
This series is ideal for use in high temperature applications like motors, ovens or other applications where terminals can melt.
I googled it and found the use of it.
I had an interview yesterday to work in the cinema. It wasn't too bad. That was like my first ever interview for a job. Yup, those of you know that I worked at the card administration before, I did not have an interview for that. Just went in, trained and started work straightaway. Anyway, it wasn't a one on one interview so that was a relieve. But I know I cannot avoid one on one interview after this. Hehehe.. I will be contacted early next week. Hmm.. hopefully I do get it.

Garden is such a hard work
Next thing is to have some documents done for the jobs applications. Uni career hub has events like 'Get the job you want', 'Writing successful CV's & winning job applications', 'Job Hunting Strategies' which I am going to join to prepare myself. I feel really blessed that there are help and guidance around to help me to find jobs. I know my parents and darling would support me. Even cousins also gave me advice. I just need to be strong and not feeling deflated everytime I get turned down. I do expect rejections because they are part of the package. It is still kind of scary to me because it is a step ahead of my life. I do sometimes think of going back to study but knowing me, I don't want to waste another more time and money. Doing honours or masters maybe good but I don't think I can handle study anymore.
While doing all these stuff, I think I should head off to the gym to do a bit of workout too. At least I can get rid of the extra fats on my tummy. =P Or maybe not, I just want to relax so maybe I should try out the best fat burner, hehe then I don't need to waste my time. Hmm.. summer is going to be interesting because I won't know what to expect and I like to try experience something new. =)

Finally
Hmm.. time to catch up with friends before start full on on tidying up the room. I shall not do anything but online tonight. =) I finish all my energy drinks too and shall not be drinking too much from now on. Not good for health. Talk about being health conscious, I don't even watch what I eat. As in I should put veges in my diet and not eat oily food. Well, I shall try now that I am more free-er.
It's also time to start looking for jobs permanently. I haven't exactly started hard out looking for jobs and already I got rejections. I expected that so I shouldn't feel bad about it. A friend mentioned that someone he knows, took 6 months to find a job. Looks like I need to do something about it. There should be more jobs coming up since it's summer. Hopefully.
