Light things up

Photobucket

On first night of CNY, our attempt of playing 'bunga api' was just random shapes. The thingy takes  approximately about 3 minutes. Pay so much for it and it finishes in minutes.

Our second attempt: The camerawomen got ready before all of us started to fire up. I think we only manage to take 2 pictures per one light. It's great that we manage to make few shapes out of the sparklers eh? Sherp decided to call it sparklers since we do not know what is the English word for it.

I actually don't know how to say 'bunga api' in English. Any help? I am lazy to find out on the internet. Hehe..

On a sidenote: check out the wine of the month. =)

CNY continued

First day of CNY. Usually, people go out 'bai nian', meaning they go out visiting houses. What is the main purpose of this visiting? Well, you can think that people are being friendly and wants to be social. When I was younger, it's the excitement of getting 'hong baos'. As I got older, it's the excitement of the food. I got to eat those yummy food that they put out on the coffee table in the living room. Oh right, it's called snacks. How about now? It's the excitement of gatherings with the people I loved. =) Sounds chessy huh?

Since there weren't a lot of people to visit here in Doha, I stayed in my pjyamas the whole day. Even when the Aunt Mary and Pyro came by for lunch. Haha..

I think 'bai nian' ends on the fifteen day.

I just uploaded one photo of me playing 'bunga api'. The rest will be in facebook as some are of sisters and friends.

One down

Yep, one down and one more to go. I guess the one-down exam was alright. I cannot remember everything I studied entirely though. It would be really amazing if someone actually do that. I mean, memorize almost the whole notes or textbook notes just for the exam. I tried drawing diagrams and memorizing how the diagrams look like.

Okie.. tat is small and you may not be able to see properly. But you can google on water table and that is one of the topics I had to study for. And I think I already forgot everything about the course. Actually, not all though. =P

Anyway, here's something to show you.

This was taken on Guy Fawkes night. I think all of them were looking and talking about how to put up tp 3 or 4 fireworks together. Yea, it was quite cold that night and you can see from how Em covered herself. With the blankets.

Yup, those were the fireworks. =)

What a day

I know it's crazy to be blogging a day before exam. But you're gotta do what you can to release your stress, right? I just realise that the year is ending soon. Well, at least for me or students, because this means you are going back for your summer holidays to enjoy your time before starting a new study year.

So what do you think of the new layout? Just thought that I want to try something different for the blog. I always have a thing for blue or black colour templates so that would be the reason why I always stick to those colours.

Ok, I shall not bore you with words but with photos.

This looks cool, ey? I stole this from my sister. She told me she has been making crafts during her free time.

Those were ingredients for cooking udon. I know it doesn't taste exactly like the ones you eat outside. But at least it really tastes nice and I love it.

Oh, that is Mer, playing with fireworks. =)

Fireworks!!

Yup, the title says it. I took quite few photos last night. Some are with another friend. We were the camera people that night.

Food that we had last night.

It's nice, right? I did take few videos. It's quite dark so I don't think I will upload here. Maybe in facebook. Oh yea, it was Guy Fawkes Night yesterday night. Not sure if they still have the fireworks by the beach. I didn't go to the beach last year to watch though but I did in the first year.
