My awful rants

This was meant to be posted on Wednesday night. =P

The snow actually caused a lot of disruptions. Can't do normal things and can't even take the car out. Opening the gate is one of the problem. The snow build up on the driveway and I had to shovel them out of the way in order for me to open the gate. Driving out of the driveway is alright I suppose, just have to be slow and careful.

It was definitely a good day/night to have hotpot if there was one.  =( Sigh.. life is boring huh when there was nothing to do or look forward to. So far only the upcoming holidays.

Yes, this is a ranting post. I am sorry for my readers who reads my ranting posts all the time because my life sucks at times. I don't mean my life is not good enough just because it sucks. I am just ranting because some part of my life sucks.

Got sent home at 11 something. Darling got cold feet because shoes got wet walking through snow. Tomorrow it will b slippery when snow hardens and definitely have to walk to work. Have to wear thicker while walking.

Snow

Here I am, blogging back here. I cannot log in my .com site to blog about my snow photos. So here goes; it snowed on Saturday afternoon after coming back from rock climbing. Will update more when .com is running.

I love this photo. It looks so artisty and I look like a model. Hehehe.. perasan-nya :P
This is the only photo for now. Will put more in the .com when I get it back.

I was thinking, should I really get a sub domain from one of my cousin? This free .com kept on crashing and I hate it when it is like that. Sigh..

Day Three

On the third day, Lynnwei's friends, Lynnwei and I went to Stonehenge. The guys stayed somewhere South East London while Sharon, Lynnwei and I were in West London. So we decided to meet up at Waterloo Station (not talking about the places in monopoly game). The trip there wasn't direct so we had to stop at Basingstoke to change to another train to Salisbury. The ride took approximately two hours plus the waiting at the Basingstoke station. Upon reaching the Salisbury station, we immediately bought the bus fare to go to Stonehenge at the ticket counter. The bus ride there took about half an hour, I think.

I can't really describe what I feel when I saw the stones. But I did want to come to look at these stones. It is world heritage. There's more information on internet on those but from what I know or read from article, archaeologists did think that aliens did them. It's really amazing how the people in the past manage to put the heavy stone on top of another heavy big stone to form circular pattern.

Visitors weren't allowed to walk amongst the stones to look nearer or touch them now. However, visitors used to be allowed in the past.

This photo of Stonehenge was thought to be in original position.

Lynnwei and I took a lot of photos while we walked around. We also had an audio guide to tell us more information of how the stone was found to be there and what is it of the use, etc. It was quite cold that day as it was quite windy. I manage to hide my hands in my jacket's pockets.

After finish visiting, we took the bus back to town centre and went to a fish and chip shop for late lunch. Lynnwei and I shared a meal as my mum cooked laksa that night and I wanted to save some space. :)

Hot Chocolate Snowman?

Isn't this hot chocolate maker great? We could make the hot chocolate the same way as those drinks you usually have at Starbucks or anywhere else. It's also great for cold winter days. Not that I am advertising this. My parents bought this just for ourselves.

Maybe I can pretend to sell hot chocolate to my sisters or dad in the morning before they headed off to school or work? Hehe... I think this would definitely be good for adding into ICF tea and coffee ideas. Making hot chocolate would be a good idea with this.

All I have to do is pour some chocolate powder and milk. Stir them using that thingy above the snowman hat and it's ready.

Now this is making me wanting a cup of hot chocolate. I am thinking of whether I should make it now or not.

Some photos

As I have promised to upload some photos, here are some that I have chosen. I don't think it's necessary to put everything. Anyway, I went to Durham on the second full day in Newcastle. The cathedral there was really nice. We did went in to look around. We meant me, Osbert, Ally and her brother and mother. Five of us took the train there.

I found this photo in the camera which meant I forgot to upload some photos from my camera to the laptop when the Wong's family were here. Oops...

This was inside the the compound of the castle. Supposedly. Weren't allowed to take photos inside the church so we only took photos outside the church.

This is a cocktail made by Ally. It's really nice, I think I might try to make this for Em. Hehe, I don't know if you will like it or not. Might think of making for Mer and the rest too. Hehe..

p/s Merry Christmas, everyone. Enjoy this good year and make new resolution for the coming new year.

Tour

On the second day of the Wong family here, we decide to go to see Natural History Museums and Science Museums. We went planning to go on London's Eye but it was raining and also, we waited for veep who is still sick. She seems to be better now though, so hopefully we can go to London's Eye this weekend. Ok, back to the topic. Mum went to get our Eurostar tickets to Paris for next weekend while Sherp and I took them to Science Museum. After arriving the Kensington Station, we went to Imperial College to take photos first.

Taken inside the Imperial. It was raining outside and it wasn't 10am yet so the museum wasn't open yet. I didn't label my photos under this blog name. I wanted to do it but I couldn't find any other programmes in my laptop.

At 10am, we walked to the Science Museum. It was crowded. Almost 11am, mum found us at the Science Museum. We continued to look around until lunch. After lunch, we walked around again. There was this burglar alarm room where the message displayed if we can walk through the passage without ringing the alarm.
We tried hiding from the invisible light in the room but the alarm still went on. Finally, Sherp saw a little boy crawling across without any sound. She followed too. I followed from behind as well. Hehe.

We went to Natural History Museum after that. We saw a weird car and took photo of it. The car has only 3 wheels. We took a lot of photos.

We took the tube to Marble Arch, from there, we walked to Bond Street to see the lights. Oh, we also went to Harrods and they took photos.

On the way back to the station, we saw this bear. Sherp saw it first and she was like, ooohh... and stood in front of the bear and waved hi. Then, the bear turned to the two standing beside me and hugged them. It must be funny how we are acting. People must have thought we were crazy to be staring at the bear and realised that we were supposed to take photo. Hahaha.

Dunedin Part III

So, this post is about us going to the world's steepest road and there is also one photo of us going back. The steepest road is about 40 minutes walking distance from where Anita stay. Em was not walking definitely so we took the bus there. It was about 10 minutes drive. Anyway, when we arrived, we saw this.

Isn't it cool?

Then, we walked on and took more photos.

Steepest road behind

Full view of the steepest road. It doesn't look like very steep but it was really tiring once you walked up.

This is from the view up.

You can see how tired Em is and us there standing there waiting for her. Muahaha..

Then, it was my turn to rest while Em took a photo of us.

While we were at the top, sitting down to rest before going down again.

This was taken while we walked down.

This also.

Going back on Monday. Had to wake up so early in the morning to take the bus back to Christchurch. So cold and sleepy. Anyway, it did not snow in Dunedin but snowed outside Dunedin. We saw it on the way. This time, I slept a while in the bus. I was so dead sleepy cos I had to wake up at 6.30am.
Note: I normally sleep till 9.30am. But that was because I only slept at 2am in the morning. Hehehe.. Anyway, classes are starting next week. Aaahh..
I got a message from my friend saying that we have to allocate our tutorials timetable. It's a good thing I have my timetable ready already. I feel like I only have one week holiday instead of 2 weeks. Blame it on BERSATU games. Stupid. I want my 2 weeks holidays!

Slide

Sorry for the 'cacat-ed' music but just to show off the photos. Hehehe =)
More posts coming up, wait for the uploading.
I want to sleep first. My beauty sleep awaits me. Hehehe.. =)

Dunedin Part II

After chocolate factory visit, we went back. On our way, we walked past City Centre, thus taking photos of the place and us. Em has a good skills of taking photos with her hands. Hohoho...

Anita Me Li Em

A bigger version from the photo above

Next day. After church, Anita, her brother and I walked back to their flat. Ate brunch then walked to Octagon and took some photos before heading to the world's steepest road on Baldwin Street.

I complained that Em did not want to take photos with me so she came over and give me a big hug while Li took a photo of us smiling. But I can see her sticking her tongue out.

I don't know what church is this but it was at the Octagon. The architecture of the building is very nice. =)

This is the railway station building outside Anita's flat. Really nice, right? Too bad we didn't go in the building to check out. =(

This photo seems so cool. According to Em, we looked like gangster. Hahaha..

This is our dinner on Saturday night. You should know who is who by now. I don't have to intro.

Dunedin

Friday, our bus was at 2pm but was delayed till 2.30pm. Journey was so long, it was really boring waiting for the journey to end.
Some photos that we took beginning of the journey.

Taken in Timaru during our stop break. Took the photo twice cos one photo: background was dark but our faces are bright. The other one : background was bright and our faces were really dark.

After reaching Dunedin, Anita came to pick us up. Her flat was just 2 minutes away from the bus station.
Guess what I saw outside her window in the morning?

Isn't it a nice view? What a good way to start a day when you wake up. =)
It's the railway station building. It is the most photograph building, facts by Anita. You can see people or tourists taking photos there everyday, I think.

We also visit the world's steepest road, coming up in the next posts. But we did not visit the castle cos there are no other bus going there except tour buses which cost like NZD45. I don't really think it's that worth to go for 45 bucks. So we skipped that. Too bad. Next time, rent a car so we can drive there.

Oxford.....

We went to Oxford on Monday, the 19 of February. Took the train there, the place was really nice.

This is the Oxford train station.

We took a lot of photos of the town. This is just some of the photos we took. The buildings are nice right? Though it is old.

Ivy wanted Sherp to take the photo of herself so she pushed me away but it turned out that Sherp took the photo of all of us standing there. Muahaha... She didn't succeeded getting the photo for herself.
By the way, this was taken at the Christ Church area. The church is supposed to be on the left side of the photo.

This is the pathway into the Christ Church. (with the space) Not Chirstchurch in NZ. :)

The surrounding is very nice right? Hehee.. I have no idea why I kept on blinking.. maybe it was the contact lens.

This is the Christ Church. Finally after the photos of the pathway and the surroundings. Must be dying to see the Christ Church eh.. :)
