Some photos

As I have promised to upload some photos, here are some that I have chosen. I don't think it's necessary to put everything. Anyway, I went to Durham on the second full day in Newcastle. The cathedral there was really nice. We did went in to look around. We meant me, Osbert, Ally and her brother and mother. Five of us took the train there.

I found this photo in the camera which meant I forgot to upload some photos from my camera to the laptop when the Wong's family were here. Oops...

This was inside the the compound of the castle. Supposedly. Weren't allowed to take photos inside the church so we only took photos outside the church.

This is a cocktail made by Ally. It's really nice, I think I might try to make this for Em. Hehe, I don't know if you will like it or not. Might think of making for Mer and the rest too. Hehe..

p/s Merry Christmas, everyone. Enjoy this good year and make new resolution for the coming new year.

Back

I just came back from Newcastle. I should be resting but I am not. Just wanted to say I am still alive. Hehe, I will upload the photos I took. I have some photos from my phone which I think Lynthia would want.

Anyway, I do enjoy myself in Newcastle. Visited places and it was really cold too. I guess I miss my comfort zone, which is home. Hehe, anyway, I am back now and back to blogging.

I notice that Lynn Xuan and Lynn Wei's blog are so nice. I love the background. Should I have my own domain? LynnXuan told me to wait and see how their blog goes. Hmm.. Yea, I should wait cos I don't think I can write nice posts like them. Erm, but different people write different post which make our blogs unique. Yea right, I seem to discourage myself a lot.

Anyway, I will try to improve my blog post. It seems boring even when I read them myself.

Newcastle

We arrived Newcastle on Sunday night around 8.30pm and went straight to Osbert's friend house. We left our luggage there and went out for dinner. I think we arrived at his flat approximately midnight. Really late though but who cares.
We got the airbag but don't really know how to pump air in so we decided to leave it. Poor Osbert had to sleep without the airbag. But it was nice of him to let me sleep on his bed. :)

The next day, I followed him to his Maths class. It was all revision. The class was boring. So, I decided to go shopping alone after his maths class. Marks & Spencer, Monsoon, etc. I practically walked around the city centre. I did buy something in the end after much persuasion of not buying anything for myself. Had lunch at McDonalds with Osbert. He had to walk back for his labs after lunch. Went groceries shopping after he finished his labs.
That night, borrowed a hair dryer to pump the airbag but turned out that the airbag has its own in-built pump. No, the hair dryer was very handy, I dried my hair. 'Lucky me', quoted from Osbert.

The following day, he went to class alone. I stayed in his room till noon and took the bus to city centre, meeting him there. After that, he took me to look around the city. In the afternoon, we took the bus to Metro Centre. That place was awesome. I wanted to buy a lot of stuff but reminded myself that I cannot bring them back either to London or NZ. *big sigh..
Would it be better if I was staying here. Then, I can buy lots of stuff. *Ahem.. I shouldn't be actually. Poor Osbert had to walk in and out the shops with me. :P But he did say that he's ok with it, so yup... You don't mind if I drag you shopping in London the next time? :D

Was thinking of posing doing the laundry but I don't think it looked like me doing the laundry

Eating Mcdonalds in Metro Centre, taken by remote control
It's cool how we have the same camera, I didn't have my remote control so we used his to take photos for both cameras, amazing how both cameras needed just one remote control

The bridge in the background and The Sage which looks like a peanut

This was taken when we were walking on the bridge. You know what? I could feel the bridge shaking. It was scary.. :S

This is the bridge, called Gateshead Millennium Bridge

City Centre

In Metro Centre

We had dinner with one of his flatmate. His flatmate prepared 5 dishes!! Osbert prepared 3 dishes, one was prepared by his mum, he only heated and 'modify' it. O.. there may not be 8 dishes because some of the dishes wasn't on the table.

That night, Osbert got his new speakers. Man, the bass system is so cool. I so want one like that. I could just blast it out. Er.. actually I can't but I just love the speaker system. We also watched some movies though the quality isn't that good. Stayed up till almost 3am. I nearly fell asleep waiting for him to transfer songs from my hard drive as well.

The next day, I slept till 9.30am. Osbert got up to go to class. Only came back at 10 something am. At noon, we had lasagna. Soon, I was to depart for London. *sob sob.. I'm going to miss Newcastle... ok.. I'm going to miss him as well, miss punching him.. *muahahaha...

This was taken on the second last day in the morning. I won't put yours la.. cos u do look like you just woke up and you said your hair looks messy.

Aberdeen

Arriving Aberdeen at noon, Osbert's dad took us to see the fishes. Unfortunately, I did not manage to see any fishes swimming around. Does that mean I am not lucky enough? Well, his mum said that if I did manage to see fishes, I would be lucky for one year. Wow.. is it true? I wanted to see some fishes though. I was told that the salmon swam upstream to lay their eggs. Isn't that taking a lot of energy? Yea.. it is and they just die after laying eggs. Poor fishy!!

At the river

This was taken at one of the castles. Hmm... what was the castle's name again? This is only one of the castles in Scotland. There are a lot of castles. I like to visit all of the castles but I don't have a lot of time in Aberdeen, I'm leaving the next day for Newcastle. Sigh.. it was fun staying in Aberdeen.
It's called Crathes Castle.

This was taken at the city centre. It was a bit dark because the lights weren't on. They should have it on, right?

Well, I think only some of the lights are on. This was more colourful.

This builiding is made from granite and is the oldest building in where? I'm not sure. I forgot already. I was told though. Very forgetful, am I?
That is Marshall College, the second biggest granite building in the world.

This was taken in the shopping mall. It was really cold outside. I didn't have enough time to walk around and also window shopped. Sigh.. but I went to church that night and watched movie with Osbert and his friends. He said that watching movie price in Aberdeen is cheap. Rite???
After movie, his dad came to pick us up. We only slept at 2am in the morning. O.. I think it was only me because he slept at 3am. His mum, sister, dad, him and me were chatting. They are also related to Tommy Ting, who is also my cousin. wow.. long relations huh? But then, Bintulu is so small, who wouldn't expect such connections/relations.
