Miss miss..

I did not mention about the careers fair that I went last Wednesday. I was hoping to ask if there were internships but there weren't. There's one that I asked but it was only for Australian students. So much for wanting to apply for an internship. If I do not get any, I guess I would just stay at home and look pretty. =) Hahaha.. I'm sure my parents don't mind me staying at home and helped out with house chores. That was what I did when I was back home in London during my summer. I was thinking, it must be hard for mum to get me to walk out from the house. Sometimes all I did was stay in front of the tv or laptop all day. Muahaha... I know I did complained about walking over to my sis's school to walk her back. It was just a 3 minutes walk. Come to think of it, the walking isn't much compared to how much I walk to my classes. Man.. I was that lazy. Nevermind. Who won't be that lazy if you are on holiday for 3 months. There's not much to do in the suburb town anyway. I don't want to walk in the same place every day. Enough of my ramblings ar..

Miss London ar.. =( Miss my holidays. I am so sick of doing my assignments everyday. I got a lab test coming up in 3 weeks time. Two more assignments piling up soon. I have to start studying for finals. =(

Museums

Oops, I made this post looks weird. But I am here to continue my blog post about my holidays. After coming back from Milan with cousins and friend, we went to visit Science Museum and Natural History Museum the next day. I suggested them visiting Natural History Museum first because it is definitely interesting.

JY koko was trying to show that he can stand the cold in the room. We went in the Antartica exhibition. However, D koko didn't go in.

There were quite a lot of exhibitions around.

We didn't stay long at the museums as I thought they should go see somewhere else. The big 'kokos' went to see Harods. I took Lynnwei to see King Cross Station. She mentioned that Harry Potter film was shoot here. The platform looks smaller than the one in the film. Maybe they just want to make it big. Hmm.. I think there is another platform which we didn't go.

I was excited to take a photo of us looking weird in the photo. Hahaha..

I miss London. I hope I can go in the future again.

Day Four

JY koko and D koko came back from Liverpool on Sunday morning. Since it was Sunday, Sherp and veep joined us to go sight seeing in London. Our first stop is St Paul’s cathedral. After taking few photos, we walked through Millennium Bridge.

Only lynnwei, JY koko and D koko took photos with the cathedral.

Another jumping photos of us. We had 20 trials of jumping photos and only one turned out to be perfect. You can see the ‘take one, etc’ from her and her.

We took some nice photos along the way so it wasn’t that boring walk to Tate Modern.

Here’s another jumping photo. We asked the guys to join in but they bluntly refused.

This just looks so much like singers in a band with the posing.

We managed to ask someone to take photo for us.

But Sherp tried taking this photo herself.

We were both trying to imitate the action.

After some actions, we had a look on the second floor of Tate Modern on those paintings. After spending approximately one hour, we took a walk along River Thames, photos on the way and straight into the queue of London Dungeon. Yup, the queue started from outside. I am not sure how long we waited and we also managed to take a bite. It was alright, wasn't that scary. There was an extremist drop ride to doom at the end of the dungeon trip. It was absolutely fun to be dropped down from a height. I think there were few of us who wanted another turn but weren't allowed. After London Dungeon, we went for late lunch at 4pm. After that, Lynnwei and I went to Hillsong church nearby Tottenham Court Road tube station. The rest, JY koko, D koko, Sherp and Ivy walked around before going back for dinner. That ends the day and getting ready for our Milan trip the next day.

Day Two

JY koko and his friend, D koko arrived on that day. Since they arrived early in the morning around 7, we decide to wait for them to have breakfast before going out to Buckingham Palace to watch the changing of guards and also took photos of London Eye, Big Ben and walked around Westminster. JY koko’s reaction of London Eye was ‘wow’ when we walked out from Westminster station from one exit. His reaction was even bigger when he turned around to see Big Ben behind him. It was like, ‘super wow’. Haha. Some photos along the way to Buckingham Palace. We waited for almost an hour for the changing of guards.

The three cousins with Big Ben behind.

I think this is the Westminster Cathedral.

This is Westminster Abbey.

We were walking besides St James Park and on our way to Buckingham Palace.

Buckingham Palace behind us.

It was so cold that time. After that, we walked to the nearest tube; we walked along the guard’s museum and also the police station nearby. Then, we headed to Baker Street station, ate lunch and went inside Madam Tusaad. Took a lot of photos. All the photos below are jumbled up and I didn't put every photo that was taken. Maybe I will upload in facebook.

Finally, I get to sit on the bike. I first saw Sherp, Ivy, Lynthia and Lynna with this photo when they went to the wax museum. I wanted to go and I got my chance when another cousins came.

Look at the camera and say cheese. Cousins and the queen.

Yay!!! I won the race. I am so happy.

Poo! But I wasn't meant to be sitting there. :)

Oh no, where did the golf ball go? I smile not because of posing, I smile because I really cannot find the golf ball.

I think I am stuck in the picture.

Ah.. I finally get to take photos with Prince William.

Hmm.. what is in there?

Day One

The next day, I followed Lynnwei and her friend to London Eye. Some of her friends came much later and they all went up. I didn’t go up though. Lynnwei commented that she felt a bit bored sitting in the eye tube. After they came down, they decide to go sight-seeing separately. I took lynnwei to Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square and then to Bond Street for shopping. It was really windy and rainy that day. It was a lesson not to bring umbrellas out.

It was raining while we took this photo, hence the umbrella handle in the way.

Look what happen to our umbrellas after taking them out on a rainy, windy day.

We went in the National Art Gallery and saw few paintings before deciding to go shopping at Bond Street. I forgot how many items lynnwei and I bought. It was really fun shopping, we were going to continue shopping till late at night but stopped when we were really tired, hungry and cold. We wanted to go to Marble Arch to take photos but end up going back home because it would be too dark that time.

Not shopping this time

This news is for the Wong family. Remember we went to London Eye?

Apparently, mum saw an article from the newspaper that British Airways wanted to end the seven-year sponsorship. That time was your first and your last London Eye with British Airways. I wanted to quote some words from the article but couldn't find it.

So far, not sure who is going to sponsor them.
Actually, I just realised, it was also our Ting family first and last. Hehe..

p/s I found where I got the newspaper article. It was Metro newspaper on Thursday.

BA said that after eight years its sponsorship priorities had changed and from next month the giant wheel is Waterloo would no longer be known as the British Airways London Eye.

Edited after 4 hours. :)

Visit to the Museums

Photos from the visit of Science Museum and Natural History Museum. There are more photos on Sherp's blog. I am just selecting few. Maybe you can find even more on Osbert's blog if he does blog about it. Check them up.

Taken before the we watched the 3D movie at the IMAX.

Trying to act cool, huh?

I don't know how to explain this mood.

That is Sherp, drinking her coke.
For those reading Sherp's blog, you would understand why I put up this photo.

London Eye

The weather was trying to trick us. We weren't planning to go to London Eye, as of my title. But it was a bit sunny so we decided to go. When we were in the tube on the way, little drops of rain started to come down. Noooo.... that means we can't go on London Eye. But we decide to go walk around and have a look.

Just some statue at Waterloo Station.

At London's Eye

This was inside London's Eye and it has gone up. It's so high. It was quite scary sitting there watching yourself go up so high.

I don't look like I am that scared. I was supposed to act scared cos I actually have a bit of height phobia.

You are supposed to see another London's Eye ball but it's not very clear. Am I supposed to name it like that? I am not sure.

Finished the session already and the rest are going to Wax's musuem. Mum, dad and I did not go since we have been there before. But I don't see a lot of wax celebrities when I went last time. I should have gone in with them. Oh ya, apparently, they screamed so much when they went in Chamber Live. It's like seeing scary people. They dressed up. They screamed so much till they crashed into the wall and couldn't move at all. Oh, they covered themselves with the jacket and they claimed that they did not see but hear. Maybe hearing the sounds also make them very scared.

p/s I wrote this after I came back from Paris so I don't think I can remember every single detail of what's happening.

After the whole day in London, Lynthia, Lynna, Uncle Wong and Aunty Wong, Mum and I packed our stuff for Paris. Ok, I will update Paris now. :)

Leeds Castle

Does the photo below interest you? It does to me. It is Leeds Castle. Last Saturday, my relatives and my family took the tube to Victoria Station to catch the coach there.

This was taken on the way there.

After reaching there, we started walking towards the castle. It was spitting a bit though (this means raining but it was just soft rain). It was quite a long walk though we took quite a lot of photos.

We reached the castle after some time and it was starting to rain quite heavily. I think it was hailling, only the small ice turned to water the moment it touched the ground.
The photo above was after we walked in the castle from the entrance.

We spent quite a bit of time in the castle reading the story and looking at the old furniture and taking some photos as well. The photo above was taken outside the castle after we finished spending time in the castle. It was still spitting though.

Taken inside the castle at the stairs before we came out.

Manage to take a group photo when we asked someone to help take photo.

I was walking back from the castle in the heavy rain, more like ice rain. We were split into 2 groups when some of them went back into the castle for heat and shelter and some of us stayed back at the shop for shelter but it was still cold.

After waiting some time, we took the land train back to the front entrance where we came in. The land train was really amazing. It just reminds me of the time when my family and I went to Universal Studio in California. We also took the same land train and look at how Hollywood make movies.

I guess the balloon doesn't run since it was raining, otherwise I would have wanted to go up.

Just some photo with the peacock. Too bad it doesn't show its pretty fan.

What a wonderful day. If only it doesn't rain, it would be even better. There was a maze which we wanted to go but since it was raining, we decide not to.

p/s I will be on hiatus till I come back from Paris on Thursday. It's going to be fun. :)
