Smells and Funny

It was funny how my flatmate got us out of the flat by 2am in the morning because her heater smells funny and the fire alarm decided to wake everyone up. Actually, we weren't allowed heaters in our room. Fair enough but it's so cold because they switched off the central heating at night. It's still winter, not spring yet. In the end, flatmate had to borrow mine. I have one but I don't use it often. I would say that I am ok with the cold even though I do complain about it at times.

Oh you know what, the stove at darling's place does not work. The oven don't work and the rear stove smells funny. So now, I think we have to buy a new stove. Ish.. wasting money.

Break is coming up. There's the time to revise through my notes and study. I kept feeling that I should be doing even more study as well. I only have one lab test coming up after the holiday and I think no big pressure. But why am I feeling stress and calm at the same time?

I must be crazy

Once upon a time, I used to collect rubbers. I don't know why the fasincation in buying and collecting different sizes of them. But I had the joy when I bought them and add them to my collection. I also got annoyed at people who borrowed my rubbers and never return them to me. As I kept losing my rubbers in primary school, I kept buying them with my pocket money. Now I have lots of them and I don't lose them anymore. I guess that's because we don't use rubbers nowadays. It's more of using pens. I think one rubber can last me for the length of my university days. Hehe..

I feel that I have done so much this weekend. I was cleaning the window when this bird suddenly flew to the window I was cleaning and started humming. I don't know if it was humming a song or not. I just said, what do you want birdie? Then, it went away. Weird, isn't it?



See that bird there? It's that kind of bird. Darling thinks that it followed us. I think it stayed there for the afternoon while we took out some boxes from garage, cleaning the windows and arranging stuff inside the house. Weather was so warm during the day and change to cold at night. Ish..

Feel like a kid

This was taken last weekend too. Darling and I was doing some important stuff before they officially moving all the boxes and furniture. We were in the Riccarton Mall when I spotted a giraffe walking around. It's not a real animal. It would be weird to have one real animal in the mall. Anyway, guess what I did. I asked darling to be quick, took out the camera and ran over to take photo with it. Hahaha.. I must have acted so much like a kid. Get excited over seeing a giraffe nearby and ran over to have a photo taken. Hahaha..

i feel sad

My rice cooker broke. I did not do it. There's silver dots inside.



You see that? So basically my rice cooker only lasts about 2 and half years. To think I would do that to my own rice cooker? I want my things to last so I only have my suspicions that my flatmates used my rice cooker with silver spoons. Ish.. it's not that I am complaining much about it but really, don't you know better not to use silvery things to go into non-stick stuff?

I should probably check out industrial equipment for any uses in plumbing stuff or even gardening work. Talking about that, the plumber has been at the new house everyday. Trying to finish some small jobs that he left behind. It's not that he is not good at his job, I guess maybe he's older so he tend to forget about them. I don't blame him for that. But you know what, I think he got a little bit annoyed at us, asking him to check out little jobs and also other stuff. Hehe.. but he is paid afterall for all the work. Besides, if he does a very good job, he will be recommended to others.

Interesting

I still watched Air Crash Investigation just now and something got me thinking. I used to watch lots of crime scene series when I was younger. Oh, it was cantonese series though. That's where I learnt some of the cantonese words. Anyway, forensic is quite interesting. You get to do DNA testing on human cells. So while I was growing up, I sort of wanted to study forensic science. I mean, I don't think I would mind sitting or standing in the lab doing all these experiments. Afterall, I am not the outdoor type of person. Outdoor as in I don't really want to walk outside too much under the extreemely hot heat and then sweat so much. So, I never get the chance to study forensic science ey.. instead I went for statistics and geology. Haha.. weird.

Holidays now

I actually was planning to travel around Christchurch during my holidays and take some pretty nice sceneries photos. I actually saw this photo competition in university magazine called Canta and thought that I might give it a go. I may win the Fujifilm camera if I win. :P Seems like there is no chance afterall now. Anyone can join the competition as long as they submit original photo in NZ. There are some categories too. Check it out if you are really interested.

I don't mind what kind of camera as long as it can take pretty photos that I am satisfied. Wait, darling got the Canon camera. I can just use that in the mean time hoh.. Hmm.. I shall look more into photography stuff since I am also interested. :P

I feel dumb that I don't even know how to use my own laptop webcam. Just the other day before sis flew home, we were webcam-ing with mum. That was the first time I use it since I came back to NZ. I thought I cam-whore a little to make full use of the in-built webcam. Guess how I look in the end.

From mind

I think I am just going to rant whatever that comes from my mind. It might be random, random and random.

Just the other day, I was thinking about what courses I took for the year. I realise that I like to study geology but the other thing is, I don't score very well because I don't blend in with essays. I cannot write good essays, meaning I cannot crap. However, I thought I do well in Stats because I write whatever that I have learnt.

Oh you know what, I was attending to one student just now with printing the card and encoding the card from the computer and the student, an older man just patted my arm and said thank you. That was weird. One of my colleagues commented that he is weird.

Nowadays, things are starting to die down. I don't work so much as last week or the week before. There's hardly anyone here now. I manage to do some studies these days. I shall get help with writing model answers for my exams questions. One of my colleagues study geology and he can help me. Yay!!

Look at the exit sign. Go out that way. Hahaha.. check out that yea.. :D

Events coming up

This photo below is supposed to be belated. Those people were caroling. =) It was fun just watching them singing for us. That's cool huh? I actually haven't experience caroling, let alone watching them. Well, at least none that I can remember of.

Sisters and I were mucking around cam-whoring and I made a face. What a weird face huh? =P

Chinese New Year is coming up. We talked about how we used to buy new clothes and that makes us usually look forward. Now? I don't think I am anymore. Visiting people or relatives' houses are fun too. Well, the eating part was fun, I got to eat those CNY food and have soft drinks. Soft drinks was like a luxury for me when I was younger. I wasn't allowed to drink soft drinks once a week let alone daily. Now? Drinking soft drinks are not that exciting for me or for us.

So, I was bored and did some tests, eg am I a nerd, geek or dork. The result was that I am a normal Joe. Seriously, I thought I was a geek. Wait, I think I was a nerd. Oh right, I don't know which one am I. Anyhow, it doesn't prove that I am normal. I am probably weird, like some people said. But I am sure everyone has their own weird way. That's just to console myself and others.

Bumming

Everyday, I bummed around watching tv, checking emails, helping mum around the house making paus and sometimes deliveries, reading newspapers/story books, etc. What else that I haven't done? Yesterday, I woke  up with my right eye being painful. I didn't think it would be that serious so I just complained to Sherp. She thought I cried. My mum said I did not drink enough water. I wailed back that I did, why else with the frequent trips to the toilet. By night time, my right eye was half the size of my left eye. I told myself to sleep early but in the end, I slept later.

Mum woke me up in the morning, asking us if Sherp and I wanted to go with her. She proceeded to say that I can take my passport photos. It took me few seconds to register that in my head. I shouted back, no my eye is so swollen, no way am I having my passport photo look so horrible. By that time, mum was already in Sherp's room waking her up.

Babblings

I  have nothing better to do than blogging, huh? You know what, I think I am getting sick of going online. There's nothing much to do other than chatting, blogging and checking emails. But the fun part is waiting for the downloading-series to finish. I started watching some of the loadings already. Hehe...

I saw this story book, Filthy Rich by Wendy Holden at the clubhouse book shelf. So yesterday night, wait, was it yesterday or the day before. I think it was the day before. I asked mum to help me take it as she was going to go for her walk. Plus, I was in pyjamas that time. Actually, wait, I would have gone in my pjyamas anyway. So, when I started reading the first few pages, I did not understand a thing and was so overwhelmed with the adjectives. Oh mian, the words are just so awesome. The words are new to me and I was trying hard to remember them. You see, I am not that observant and I cannot remember some things, eg  foreign words. But if I happen to see/bump into those words, then it would have stuck to my head permanently.

So, I got a Facebook message from Gloria if I would like to help out with the Newcomers to Christchurch blog for this year. Actually, I am really excited and happy that she emailed me about it. I can't wait to meet new friends. I am just as excited as her. Oh no, I might scare those people off. Early last year, this cousin told me that one of her friends is going to Christchurch to study. I was excited to meet the friend. But right, I still haven't meet the friend yet. Haha.. hypocrite of me. Say I want to meet and in the end, I did not meet the friend. Though I probably did pass by the friend in university or in CMSA events, ball, etc.

I wish for..

I actually bought this for darling and thought of giving him the chance to blog but since he said that I am allowed to. So here I am. I actually saw quite a lot of lamps like this but there are diamonds on it and it doesn't really look like the lamp from Aladdin movie. So in the end, I chose this. =)

Looks cool huh? I did not buy at the souq though. Bought this at one of the shops in the shopping mall. Anyway, tell you what, I think she will just laugh at me again. I didn't know google.com change its decoration everytime there are public holidays, eg Christmas. I googled it and saw this. Next coming public holiday, I shall google to look. I am glad someone find my posts funny. Hmm.. I shall be the entertainer eh? =D

Minis

I saw this mini trolley version in warehouse, NZ. But they don't have medium size trolley like the second image that I put up.

Shall I say a medium size trolley or mini trolley in this case? I'd love to push that little trolley around if I was there. Unfortunately, I wasn't with them that time. =(

Not human form

I know it's random that I put these photos in this post. I just thought, I want to blog about them. I'm gonna clean up my computer. The computer is getting slower so need to get rid of some stuff, photos doesn't take up a lot of space, maybe the programmes did takes up a lot of space.

I went through the photos in the folder and guess what I saw. I think I tagged the coke bottle as Sherp. Hehehe.. I think she was in the bathroom that time.

And since I did that to Sherp, she decided to get her revenge by tagging me by putting the coke bottle upside down and her scarf around it.

It's super sunny

I was out at the supermarket just now and I saw the front headlines about lotto. This week, the prize was up to 30 million. Cal said they will give out the money even if there were no winners. Maybe it will be shared on the second division or something. It's quite complicated lah but anyway, my main point is to ask, what would you do if you really win 30 million? I will give my opinion. First of all, it will definitely change my life. People would be running to you for money. Please don't be offended but I am sure friends and relatives will say, so where's my portion. I definitely cannot say, I want to keep for myself. So, in the end, I don't want to win that much of money. Yes, I am stupid for saying that. But money isn't everything. Happiness is. So yea, what do you think?

My friends and I were walking into the computer room through the printer room and I saw this printer printing non-stop on the header. We stopped the printing for this person who might have accidentally clicking it. I managed to take half of it for my own use. Hehehe..

Break?

I was blog-hopping yesterday. Hmm.. people still keep my link as this blog's link. It's good but there's no updates from this blog. I was using www.mylifemydaymyemotions.com before but it was shut down because of being inactive. It's not that I did not blog much. It's more like I don't have a lot of visitors or readers during the day. Sigh.. so now I am looking for new hosting site. Yea, you can say that I am high maintanence for wanting .com. Well, I like having .com. =)

I don't understand the weather. It was sunny one day and cloudy the next day. Sunny again the following day, cloudy again. What's up with that? Is it representing someone's mood everyday? It's windy at the moment too.
