Presents

westcoast3

We bought ps2 singstar microphone as one of our presents and played with it that very night. Didn't buy the games though since it is expensive. Might as well just borrow from the video store since it is not that expensive. I still have my student card so I got student discount. =)

Oh yea, I got a big hedge 'scissors' for my gardening. I forgot what is the name for it already. And some lingerie from CottonOn. Yay.. I got new stuff too.

I just finish reading a story book by Paullina Simons and the title is Road to Paradise. Good teachings about life but quite draggy though. I read during work. Hehe.. I have time while waiting for 'customers' to come and get their student cards. The book talks about three young girls travelling across the country. Gosh, I don't know if I could ever do that. A little scary though. Anyway, it mentioned about them gambling at casinos and it just reminds me of the hotels there in Las Vegas. Hmm.. If I were to go to United States, I don't think I would go cross country but maybe stay in one place? Then I should check out hotel reservation new york since I'd love to go to New York. All from watching CSI: New York.

Metal-like

images1metaltiles

courtesy of google

Be it kitchen or the tiles, I am sure some people will like metal-like furnitures. In my opinion, it makes the house look modern, very sophisticated.

The first photo shows different stainless steel tiles. I think I would have it in the kitchen area. =) It looks nicer there. But I prefer to have bigger tiles though.

Anyway, I find it very hard to put my book down for even a moment. I am currently reading The Boleyn Inheritance. I feel that I don't pick up the words or sentences as fast as others. Try comparing me and veep. I bet you, she has better written English than I do. Ish.. it's annoying you know. I am learning but very slowly. A friend commented that I read intelligent books. Hmm.. I'm getting perasan now, better don't say anymore. Hehehe.. Anyway, I googled about the history of King Henry's wives and I know the ending of the book. Kind of spoiling it but I want to know since I cannot sit and finish reading the whole book without distractions.

Finally

Finally I finished my exams. The hard work for the first semester is over. I shall enjoy my 2 weeks break. :D Oh, right. Now I have to decide on what papers exactly am I going for next semester. Hmm.. maybe I will wait for another week before deciding. Want to enjoy first.

Transformer 2 came out last week and I am going to watch. Muahaha.. anyways, I shall have more time to blog too. So yea..

I shall be reading some story books too that I actually have been wanting to read since a long time ago. :D I definitely will talk about it after I am finish reading. :D

Now, I am being random. Oh yea.. one thing I like to mention, sometimes you see these comments on internet on how people become successful from just adding links to google. As in they have quite a lot of cash. Man.. I want to believe it's true but really, I don't want to be tricked. You never know that it might be spam. In the end, I choose not to believe in those stuff.

I am feeling a bit bored now. I don't feel like reading any books, maybe it's the after exam feelings. Right, movies here I come.

Bear with me

I just finished reading the book, My Best Friend's girl by Dorothy Koomson. It's really a good book to read. Last year, I bought Marshmallow for Breakfast by the same quthor to read for the summer. It was also a great read. I felt reluctant to put down the book whenever there were housechores or something else to do.

I shall not spoil the story eh if anyone wants to read. This week is going to be a miserable rainy week. It was hailing hard last night. It was sunny for a while this morning and I thought I could go to class. Now, I am tempted to stay in my room.

I better wrapped myself more this week. Anyway, I shall update more of how I go on with my revision huh? Oh.. there would probably be more of this kind of post soon so please bear with me till after my exams finish. :D

On a side note, check out women's lingerie

Babblings

I  have nothing better to do than blogging, huh? You know what, I think I am getting sick of going online. There's nothing much to do other than chatting, blogging and checking emails. But the fun part is waiting for the downloading-series to finish. I started watching some of the loadings already. Hehe...

I saw this story book, Filthy Rich by Wendy Holden at the clubhouse book shelf. So yesterday night, wait, was it yesterday or the day before. I think it was the day before. I asked mum to help me take it as she was going to go for her walk. Plus, I was in pyjamas that time. Actually, wait, I would have gone in my pjyamas anyway. So, when I started reading the first few pages, I did not understand a thing and was so overwhelmed with the adjectives. Oh mian, the words are just so awesome. The words are new to me and I was trying hard to remember them. You see, I am not that observant and I cannot remember some things, eg  foreign words. But if I happen to see/bump into those words, then it would have stuck to my head permanently.

So, I got a Facebook message from Gloria if I would like to help out with the Newcomers to Christchurch blog for this year. Actually, I am really excited and happy that she emailed me about it. I can't wait to meet new friends. I am just as excited as her. Oh no, I might scare those people off. Early last year, this cousin told me that one of her friends is going to Christchurch to study. I was excited to meet the friend. But right, I still haven't meet the friend yet. Haha.. hypocrite of me. Say I want to meet and in the end, I did not meet the friend. Though I probably did pass by the friend in university or in CMSA events, ball, etc.

Something to look forward

Finally I finished reading the Marian Keyes story book on Sushi for Beginners. It took me so long to finish reading because I found some parts boring. I continued reading even though it was boring. I have no excuse to stop. I also started reading the newspaper too. I think I should keep up reading story books or newspaper when I am back though it takes me longer to finish.

I was told that if it wasn't for my grammatical mistakes and some vocabs, I would have superb written English and spoken. I agree with that and I do admit that my grammatical mistakes make my blogging skills terrible and most probably readers don't want to read badly written English. Am I right?

I also think that I shall keep up going to gym and run on threadmill when I am back.  I won't get that tired easily when I go for my field trip. I also made another goal for myself, that is to take lots of scenery pictures when I go field trip. I shall put it up here to share with my readers.

So, that makes life go on and something to look forward to.

Rants

Now, it seems like a big burst of posts. =P Actually, I had quite a lot of things to say before I came home. I left most of it till now. I have more time at home, anyway. I set myself some goals to achieve during this summer. One of them is going to the gym but so far, I haven't been. Hehe.. you know me, I can be a lazy bum.

But I read most of the magazines I brought back. I did spend time on reading them this afternoon when there was loud thunderstorm. Sherp was trying on make-up on herself. It's not bad when you look at her. She has some skills herself too. Actually I should have taken a photo of her make-up. I tried a bit on her in the morning, maybe that makes her want to try more.

Why the sudden of taking the phone photo? Well, I just felt like it. I couldn't use my phone after I left Sidney the other day. Now, it just says emergency calls only. Oh but I use mum's phone so it's ok. It doesn't take me long to text faster on hers. Maybe it was because I am used to text faster. Hehehe.. =P

Crafts and books

At some point, everyone would read at least one book. Am I right? Be it the story books or textbooks. I took the photo below at my current residence before I head home. I recently just went back to reading. It's actually fun to read lots of storybooks. I also discovered more of the authors' books. I love the story plots too. =)

I was tidying up my stuff the other day when I found this, I remembered one of my cousins made this for me a few years ago. It just stayed in one of my drawers. I don't want to put it up by my door in my current residence because there are other flatmates who might think it is weird.

Check out some dog supplies. Hmm.. shall I buy something for Shoobie? It's tempting because some of the stuff are really cute.

Reading

Since I am so free now and besides packing everything, I borrowed some books and magazines to read from the library, I read this book of the crime. It sure was scary when I read it at midnight. The suspense also made me continued reading till 4am in the morning. =) It's not like I have anywhere to go in the morning anyway. I am amazed how the author can think of complicated plots for the story. It is long plots and revolves around quite a lot of people as well.I remembered I borrowed 4 to 5 books back home and I can finish them in just one day without distractions. I shall pick up reading since I am free now. =)

So, veep, if you are reading this, what would you like for your birthday? Yup, her birthday is coming up. She is turning 14, not 15. I should know how old my sister is? But it is ok for me to forget her friend's? Oh wait, I cannot because she is my God-sister. Aih.. I am such a forgetful person. Someone shall have to remind me that next year.

This post will be boring if I don't add in photos so I shall let the photos colour this post.

One of the bulbs on the right blew off so it was dark when I was studying. So I decided to put in another lamp on the left. I was so focused after I added that white lamp. My process of studying, I must have a bottle of water and frozen coke ready by the side. Hehehe.. =)

I am running out of contact lenses by next year August. So shall I have a look at the sites online to buy? =) I know it's random to say this but it is true. I did not check my contact lenses count, I just assume it would last till end of next year. But I should have known that once in a while, you would lose the contact lens in the eye or just break it. Oops..
