Milan, Italy

I haven't forgotten to blog about my holidays in UK. I know I stopped at day four. I still got a few days to write about. Anyway, let me start off with the day five. Four of us, JY koko, Danny koko, Lynnwei and I woke up at 4am to take the cab to Stansted airport for our flight to Milan, Italy. It was my first and the last time to be in the airport. The airport is not that bad but I guess it was meant for cheap flights aeroplane. Oops, did I say that? :P

Anyway, we did not check in any luggage as we only stay one night.

The flight took two hours and the timezone was pushed back one hour. Yay, we gained one hour to walk around the city. After arriving Milan airport, we took the bus to city centre. From there, we took underground train to our hotel. After checking in and leaving our stuff, we proceeded to Duomo.

Duomo cathedral. It's not very nice as it is still in renovation. Pity we don't get to see after renovation version. It would be definitely very beautiful.

The shopping centre is behind me. Stuff are really very expensive. I could only buy clothes from Zara which was nearby. Not only because of that, I could only wear children clothing as the adults one are big for me.

I was really hungry after accompanying JY koko and Danny koko around so I got lynnwei to help me to bug them for food. Both of them paid for our meals. Hehehe.. Since we were in Italy, we decide to have something Italians would normally eat.

This was taken the next day when it wasn't raining and we went in the cathedral. Yes, we came back here as it was raining the day before. You can see my hair was tied up differently compared to the day before. Anyway, we went in the cathedral, had a look around and finally took the lift up to the roof. Taking the lift cost 7 euro and taking the stairs cost 5 euro.

Inside the cathedral.

We like to have our jump even though it was just the two of us.

After that, we returned to hotel to check out and took our stuff along to see the original painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. The painting was really amazing. I can see some part of it wasn't really finished. Jesus's feet was cut off because it was destroyed by some people who decide to make a door underneath the painting. I bought a bookmark as a souvenir. The three of them bought even more stuff. I don't see a point in buying anything else because it is going to pile up in my room later.

After that, we went to the bus station central to take the bus to airport. It was quite early to go to airport but we wanted to go to the shopping mall nearby to walk around and probably to shop. I didn't end up buying anything else. The two guys bought a bag for mum as a appreciation for hosting them while they were in UK. I got to choose as apparently I would know what kind of bag mum likes.

Anyway, our flight was at 8pm and again, it was two-hour flight back and we lost one hour, reached UK at 11pm but only manage to get back after midnight. There was traffic jam which was why we were late back. Yes, traffic jam. It is London after all.

Day Four

JY koko and D koko came back from Liverpool on Sunday morning. Since it was Sunday, Sherp and veep joined us to go sight seeing in London. Our first stop is St Paul’s cathedral. After taking few photos, we walked through Millennium Bridge.

Only lynnwei, JY koko and D koko took photos with the cathedral.

Another jumping photos of us. We had 20 trials of jumping photos and only one turned out to be perfect. You can see the ‘take one, etc’ from her and her.

We took some nice photos along the way so it wasn’t that boring walk to Tate Modern.

Here’s another jumping photo. We asked the guys to join in but they bluntly refused.

This just looks so much like singers in a band with the posing.

We managed to ask someone to take photo for us.

But Sherp tried taking this photo herself.

We were both trying to imitate the action.

After some actions, we had a look on the second floor of Tate Modern on those paintings. After spending approximately one hour, we took a walk along River Thames, photos on the way and straight into the queue of London Dungeon. Yup, the queue started from outside. I am not sure how long we waited and we also managed to take a bite. It was alright, wasn't that scary. There was an extremist drop ride to doom at the end of the dungeon trip. It was absolutely fun to be dropped down from a height. I think there were few of us who wanted another turn but weren't allowed. After London Dungeon, we went for late lunch at 4pm. After that, Lynnwei and I went to Hillsong church nearby Tottenham Court Road tube station. The rest, JY koko, D koko, Sherp and Ivy walked around before going back for dinner. That ends the day and getting ready for our Milan trip the next day.

Edinburgh trip

I thought I won't be going to Edinburgh trip again since last year but this year, I get to go again. Yay! Anyway, this time I went with cousins. Friend of mine also came with us this time, making the number of us even.

Anyway, we took the night bus on Friday night and arrive in the morning. My friend, Osbert took a different bus as he came from Newcastle. It was really uncomfortable sleeping on the chair. I think I only got 3 hours of sleep. Nevertheless, I was fresh to walk about the town. There's some photos. I choose the ones I think should be alright. I didn't put everything cos mum don't want me to put her picture in.

Oh, I have completed mid air jumps photos. I will put those up in my future posts. Now, I will let the photos do the talking.

Castle in the background

Edinburgh castle in the background.

This was in the garden at our apartment.

Our group photo before the day really started.

We were playing who chewed and swallowed the grapes the fastest. I am not sure who won in the end cos I gave up and went off to take photos. Why we create the game is cos there were a lot of grapes and we needed to finish it.

We ate lunch at a Chinese restaurant and walked about for the rest of the day. The 4 adults went off shopping while the 6 of us went to Edinburgh Dungeon. I thought it was going to be very scary. I did close my eyes a few times though. Not really that scary.

We walked to our apartment which was like 40 minutes walk away from the city centre. It was such a long walk and carrying backpacks worn us all out. I am not sure who else cooked dinner but I know mum was in the kitchen the whole time cooking. We were all taking turns to shower while waiting for dinner. The apartment was really a nice place.

After dinner, we drank soft drinks using wine cups, making us look as if we were really drinking. Hehehe.. after that, some of us retire to bed while some of us sat there watching X Factor 2007, the finals. Then only we slept while talking when Jinn Yuan 'koko' called Sherp's phone. Just to talk cos he was bored. Hhm...

Final day in Paris

On the final day, we took our time getting up and ate breakfast. After that, the taxi driver came to pick us up to go to Disneyland Park where we can take the train to Val d Europe where we planned to shop for the day. Mum bought one jacket for me. Great, right? Then, the Wongs' family also bought some stuff for themselves. It's really nice to be shopping if only they have more sales.

Inside the train. Look who is new to the Wongs' family.

This was at the train station where we were to depart to London. It was really cold that night as the temperature was below 1 degree. We were waiting upstairs and there weren't any chairs for us to sit down waiting patiently.

We reached London at 10.30pm London time and reached home about 11.30pm. After a late dinner, we showered and went to bed. The next day, we got ready our stuff for our trip to Edinburgh that night. This was on Friday. We rest for a while that day. The bus ride was ok despite the uncomfortable chair and bad driving. I don't think I slept more than 3 hours. But we were still alright to walk about the whole day.

Anyway, I will upload some photos the next post.

Third day of Paris

I will put up one more post about Paris. The third day in Paris. We went around city centre to visit famous places like Eiffel Tower etc.

I kind of like all of the mid air jumps. It's really nice. I should really print out a big photo of this.

Isn't this nice? I was telling mum, yes, I have been here. Hehehe.

We went to La defense to shop for things but really, it's kind of expensive. Mum took me, Lynthia yiyi to the shops that do have a sale/discount on clothes or shoes. I saw one shoes that I truely wanted. It just looks so nice but I thought I should wait for London sale. I don't want to regret buying it and then there's even more nicer shoes. It just looks like converse shoe. Anyway, I think it should be ok, I don't mind waiting. If I really cannot find something like that, it's alright. It's not like I just have to have it. It's not necessity.

p/s For more photos, refer to Lynthia and Lynna's blog.

Eurodisney, Second day

I just came back from another trip. Hehe, anyway here goes of the blog about second day of Paris trip. Don't worry, I will definitely put up photos of the trips where I went.

On the second day, we woke up at about 7am to get ready. Mum, Lynthia's mum and dad went to get the breakfast. Oh ya, forgot to mention that breakfast was supplied and we were to pick it up at a place and eat it in our cabin/room. I suppose I should call it cabin since it is meant to be a cabin.

The taxi driver who sent us to cabin the day before was very friendly. He jokes at times and talked to us a lot. Anyway, he came to pick us up in the morning to go to Disneyland. Mum went shopping instead of Disneyland as she went before. The ticket admission to go in was for Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studio Park. Very interesting, we get to go in two parks and it is only for one day. If you want to play all the games, you won't be able to finish of them in just one day.

Anyway, we took a few photos in Disneyland. I think we only saw a few characters. We were too busy playing the challenging games which is like roller coaster and thrilling type. I say I scream a lot when I sat on the roller coaster. I really really love all the roller coaster especially Rock and roll coaster in Walt Disney studio. It was really fast when the door was open and whoosh... it is like you are being pulled by gravity. I couldn't scream properly in the first place. I manage to scream after it slowed down a bit.

Crush's coaster is in Walt Disney Studio and it looks like a harmless roller coaster. But really, it is very fast and it rotates at the same time. My hair was flying around.

We played till almost 6pm and waited for mum outside both parks to return to motel.

This is a few stuff from the breakfast package that mum, lynthia's mum and dad took from the breakfast reception. That is my milk and honey.

Disneyland Park!!!

Oh, they were buying the tickets admission. I went in the wrong way and wanted to see them at the counter so I decided to climb over the railing.

A dream come true of seeing a wonderful world of Disney.
Ha, this bear.. we were walking towards Big Thunder Mountain when we saw this bear. We were running and screaming at the top of our lungs (just joking) towards the bear who had its arms wide open, welcoming us to give him a hug.

One of my favourite roller coaster, Big Thunder Mountain.

At Crush Coaster, Finding Nemo.

First day in Paris

I think I might just separate into 4 days for Paris trip. I was thinking of putting all into one but it might be too long. Anyway, we woke up early in the morning on Monday and took the underground tube to St Pancres Station/King Cross Station. Does the name ring any bell? Hehe.. Our train departs at 9am in the morning and reach Paris at 11.30, after change of time. Timezone was one hour difference.

All aboard.

While waiting, we took some photos. The bench is cool. It's different from the type of bench I have seen. Actually, it's not really a bench. What should I call it? Sofa, no.. hmm.. I can't think. What do you think?

Yes, we arrive Paris, this was taken at La Fayette where Princess Diana used to shop. Oh ya, I have learnt quite a few French words. It's interesting.

sortie means exit

I remember this because of disneyland trip. Oops, I should leave this till disneyland post.

Disneyland station where we got off from the train. Oh oh, there are 2 double decker trains. It's so cool. We sat at the bottom cos mum get dizzy when she sat at the top. The trains and underground are much bigger than those in London. I prefer the bigger ones cos there are more space.

This was our hotel/motel. Actually, I don't know what to call it. It used to be for camps and it should be a cabin. And the cabin is real cool. I didn't upload the master bedroom and bathroom photo up cos it might take my bytes for blogger. I will put it up in facebook and put the site here.

I slept on the top. It's so fun to sleep up there.

Cheers..
Pretending to drink wine but it's actually fanta orange. :P

Also went to the shop and restaurant nearby and guess who we saw. AAAHhh..
Donald Duck and wearing winter clothing.

p/s Take your time reading. I will update again when I come back from Edinburgh. Enjoy reading.
