Colourful from now on

I finally decide to use Picasa and found it much easier to sort out my photos. Lol, that took me a long time to figure things out. Now I shall upload the photos I want here.



I probably will take some time to put up url into the photo. =) Anyway, I think my posts will be colourful from now on.

That was the muffins that I made end of October. Hohoho.. was my first time making it so didn't want to offer anyone to eat it in case it is not nice. But I quite like it though. =P

Christmas this year is over. But New Year isn't here yet. There's still time to buy some baby thank you cards for your loved ones. I don't think anyone would mind calling their loved ones baby as long as they are comfortable with it. Hoho though me calling my sis baby would sound weird.

Losing it

Took me a while to post something here but here goes. Last week, had a work dinner function in the city. Title was shake break.



The dinner was 3 course meal and so filling. Really enjoyed it as it was Mexican food. Only took a photo of the main meal, I think.

Gosh, talking about food just makes me want to eat more but it means I have to exercise more. I haven't really been exercising and guess what, my tummy is starting to grow again.

No!! So have to start next week. Not this week since am busy. =P I am hoping to get natural fat burners since I am not that into slimming pills or any slimming products.

Whity white

Another photo that I can't be bothered to rotate. It's one of my work clothes. It's just normal top with the company logos. Nothing special. The pants doesn't have any logos though. We can't mismatch our own work clothes with company's work clothes.

It is actually good to wear the uniform because that way, you don't have to think about what to wear everyday.

I went to check out on the second hand corporate wardrobe and I took a few. It's actually quite brand new. Not bad, huh. 

Anyway, it's the time of the year when everyone is heading off for holidays, either flying elsewhere or stay at home with families. Businesses are quiet too. It's also the time when everyone is trying to pay off their bills. Not everyone will be heading off for holidays, some people may be working through the holiday season. There are still people getting insurance quote during these times. A friend of mine got her insurance quote during this time last year. This time, she is paying off her insurance bill.

What is going on?

Have you heard the Indonesia's quake and volcanic eruption? I was just thinking, what is going on? It feels like there are just too many earthquakes happening. Maybe it is because of the location I am in. But still.. I watched the movie 2012 and then read about the 'beginning of new era' in 2012 and the ancient Mayans. I refused to believe everything has to do with that. I do know that Indonesia on the pacific ring of fire so it's normal for the country to experience earthquakes and volcanic eruption. It just feels like there are too many natural disasters going on this year.

Next week, it's November already. Time sure passes very fast. It's nearly the end of the year. 2011 is nearly here. Gosh, I will be another year older. No.. don't even want to think about it. =S

I am going into a random topic here. Been seeing people using coupons a lot. Sometimes they are cheaper. Maybe we should also check out tiger direct coupons too. Just the other day, we checked out this kayak coupon. It was cheap. I can't remember how much I paid for it when I first went on this adventure.

Definitely is a good adventure if you haven't done it before. But let me tell you, it is tiring when you are kayaking against the wind. I had that and gosh, I slept like a log that night. I wasn't the one driving the next day so I was really thankful for that. =P

I also want to share this photo that I took when we went out to meet Gen who came down to see us. She stopped by Christchurch on her way to her conference in Queenstown. Very lovely. =)

She was quite touched that we woke up early just to meet her. Teehee.. yeap, we normally sleep late. I know the feeling of getting up early every day and when it comes to weekend, I will sleep in. Hoho..

Not sure if I continue like that, would my body need some body acne cream.

Good for skin

Currently, I am using vitamin e serum from Body Shop. It should be as good as a vitamin c serum. I don't need to list all the facts lah. Too much and I will sound like a nerd.

I am a nerd if you want to know. I love to read all facts books and watch documentaries, something that people would say it is boring and knowledge that you don't need to know in reality to survive in the community.

It's interesting though and I would love to work in those that I have passion for. Yeah, that's life. You don't always get what you want. =(

Right, I got out of the topic. My point was, I love Body Shop products but sometimes quite expensive. Sigh..

How pretty

Should I have a big ceremony where I can have bridesmaid? Goodness, everyone will want to be my bridesmaid and I wouldn't have guests. But too late, I doubt I will have a big one. I much prefer to have dinner reception now and wear a wedding dress. Hehe..

So I don't have to worry about getting bridesmaid dresses like other brides do for their bridesmaid. If you have watch 27 dresses acted by Katherine Heigl, bridesmaid dresses are funky in the movie. I would prefer my bridesmaid to wear simple formal dress.

So let's say I have 5 bridesmaid and they choose to wear different from each other, guests wouldn't know they are my bridesmaid huh?

Instant noodle

Think it was last week's news. Campbell live really has big impact on people's life including mine. It was about instant cash.

Yes, some people do go to instant cash company to borrow money. So some customers were given a certain amount or percentage to pay per week. Apparently, the customers are paying more interest than stated. Ok, my point was I didn't realise there are quite a lot of people going for those kind and not the bank. Hmm..

So I got a little interested in knowing more about finance. I started checking out finance books at the bookstore. Nothing interest me though, most are tips on how to save more money, how to start business, etc. I might start looking at the library to see what kind of finance books they have.

Nope, don't ask me to study finance in uni. I will probably fail. Not sure if there are numbers or not. But I think it's just some things does not interest me. Or it could be my brain can only process science stuff more.

I don't know. I don't know. I really don't know. I should just check them out or check out this link on purchase order financing. I guess keep reading them will help me to understand eventually.

Big part of life

Insurance actually plays a big part in our lives. If we don't insure our things and if something happens, we lose everything. Then you won't know where to start from scratch.

Sometimes when I drive past cars, I marvel at the nice pretty cars. Some cars are very shiny too. I would wonder when I can own those cars. It must be expensive to pay for them. If something happens to the car, you would have to pay a lot too. So that is where insurance comes in. I think it helps to know that someone is supporting you when something happens. Of course, you don't want anything to happen to the car, right? Just knowing there is support comforts you. So maybe carinsurancelist blog may help.

Cleaning also plays a big part in our lives. Realise that I have been cleaning the house almost every week. This week, I clean the curtain. Manually scrub it because they cannot go into the washing machine. Feel tired and cold. But feels good because everything is clean. =P

Buying more

Ok I know I may sound like I am preparing myself when the baby comes. But with the GST going up soon, don't you just want to stock up some stuff? I know that the price may go down too but it is exciting to be buying something. Hohoho.. just check out this Ergo baby carrier.

I think I would look like the sister carrying her little baby sister if I were to wear it for my future little ones. Lol thinking too much. Right!! Off you go, thoughts.

Going to go watch some tv to create more imagination. Hohoho..

Darling looks cute when he wear my hair band. He was doing something and his fringe was in the way. Mum bought the hair band for me when she came to visit. So the hair band proves to be useful, not only for me. Hohoho..

Just the other way, I saw someone wearing tuxedo shirts to work. The more I see it, the more I want. It looks cool. I remember I saw a nice one in River Island. I tried it on and it looked weird on me. Or I should say that I look fat in it. Maybe I ate too much when I was home that time. Hohoho.. the top was blue and is not plain so it wasn't that perfect for work.

I do get picky at times though. Hehehe.. I prefer plain black to wear to work instead of the colourful one.

cold warm moist dry

Hohoho.. check out the dehumidifier that we bought last weekend. It's super cool because it works so well for the past 2 days.

Anyway, the house is really cold. Did a bit of research and moisture in the house could be the cause. Insulation too. Our bathroom ceiling has mould growing. We do open the window when showering and the door after shower. Had to clean the ceiling twice. Winter is even worse. It grows a month later of cleaning. =S

Darling thought it would be nice to study trades course and maybe do a part-time job besides working full time. It sounds like a good idea but not sure whether can do it or not. But it is something to think about. Then maybe he can buy some spring plungers for the pipe and DIY. No need to call tradesman. Lol

I want iphone

Nowadays, we have so many technologies like mp3, handphones, iphones which we use so much until the battery runs out very quick. Wouldn't it be better to have a battery charger which we can charge for most of our technologies?

Actually, evergo oxygen concentrators can solve the problem. I just saw it, it can be used to provide battery power for up to 8 hours. Wait, I am not that sure. I must check again to find more about it.

But it would be nice to have something like that.

Had an interesting week

Week has been alright. I learnt a lot from work and thought it was interesting. =)

Winter is still here. The car was covered in ice this morning and had to leave it on for a little while. Also had to put some water on the windscreen. It was like thick ice on the windscreen. Gosh, I recall the time I drove to school. I also had to put water on the front and back windscreen of the car and wipe off the ice.

I could also see the 'smoke' from my mouth or nose when I breathe.

Anyway, weekend is here and I want to watch some movies or series on the big screen HDTV. Hohoho.. with my good speaker, it definitely will feel like I am in the cinema. I can wear my pyjamas and cover myself in comforter too. Yay!!!

All the more of complaining

Waking up early everyday in the morning sort of makes me want to be a student again. Sigh but to study again? I don't like the idea of having to study everyday. I did struggle a bit during exams and I don't want to go through it again. Maybe sat prep courses might be easier. Not sure, I must really check it out. Oh I did think of taking some extra courses that may help to take up some jobs.

After all these thinking, I think I better not. For goodness sake, I have a degree and I should make full use of it. Anyone want to hire me? Hohoho..

I see you

Mirrors. Who doesn't like to check themselves out at the mirror. I am sure anyone walking past a mirror or reflective thing will check out themselves, straighten the clothes, if the hair looks alright, no pimples on the face or anything.

How about convex mirrors? Sure it makes you look bigger and gosh, can see the clear pimples on the face? Hahahaha.. anyway, it is a little random of me to talk about mirrors.

It just reminds me of the time when we were in Edinburgh. Veep was talking photo of us looking fat, thin, small or huge from the different kinds of mirrors. =)

Multi-task

Some friends are leaving to pursue a better job somewhere else. It's sad to see them go but at the same time, happy for them because it is a good opportunity.

So far, job hunting is still going on. I either have not receive news or receive rejection letters. Sigh. I believe that God has a plan for me. So I will keep a positive mind and continue to hunt.

That reminds me that I should set up my printer and buy printer ink. Good thing I have the printer software on laptop already otherwise it would be troublesome to install everything. Takes a long time.

The installation includes the printer scanning software. Phew.. it is a good thing that I can scan, print and photocopy. =)

Dreams

I wish I could go back there. =S Would love to go sight seeing again. Of course I would try to visit the place I haven't been first. Maybe I should join Amazing Race. Lol. That way, I get to see the world as well as the competition.

The Big Ben looks so nice yea? I recalled one cousin asking, so where's Big Ben when we come out from the underground tube station which is just next to it. Mmm.. I shall keep on dreaming.

Sunny, rain, hail

I think I am getting a bit boring here. I need more photos to lighten up the posts. So let's see, we bought a yoga mat and gym ball to exercise with. Apparently, lying on the carpet with your face facing it makes you go eeww.. so it is better to get a yoga mat. As for the gym ball, I think it helps to tighten the abs. Yep, I want to try to lose the tummy. First is to make the stomach tight, I shall think about losing the fats later. I am still getting used to tighten my abs/stomach.

I feel that I am getting more knowledgeable insurance as I continue working. Hmm.. it's good but I don't really compare any affordable term life insurance quote between companies. Lazy lah want to do that. Wait till I really need it. I will be motivated to research more about it then. Weather has been really weird lately, one minute it was sunny next, it was raining so hard. When I got up this morning, the windows were crying so much. I wanted to wipe their tears away but thought na, I don't have enough time to do that since needed to get to work. I didn't realise the time pass so fast. The coming up weekend is Easter weekend and people have been asking, what am I doing for the weekend. I absolutely have no idea, I know I want to sleep. Hehehe.. I miss my beauty sleep ever since I finish uni. I am not as active as I was in uni. Sigh.. 

Winter is coming

You wouldn't even believe that this simple vest is loaded with battery to warm the body. It is a good investment for those who are scared of the cold. Check out this site on more varieties. Do I need one? Sometimes I complain cold but most of the time, I complain hot. Sigh, there is never satisfaction. But anyway, what's interesting is I never seen a vest loaded with heater and battery. It must be heavy. But I wonder how many battery are they putting inside. Maybe I should look at heated mattress pads instead. Oh wait, I think the mattress pads are inside the vest. Oh so actually, the vest will not be that heavy then.
