West Coast trip

Here is the West Coast trip post that sherp has been waiting for. Hehehe.. only put it up now since I have been busy applying for jobs and working. =P It started out with us driving to Hokitika early in the morning. Stopped in Springfield to take photo of the small sized donut. Also stopped in Arthur's Pass for a break before continuing on. The mist was quite strong in the morning, half an hour later, I could see the mountains in the background so clearly. Oh yea, we got a gift from the lady who booked us into a nice room. She's a family friend who comes regularly to Christchurch and staying at the motel. She is a really nice person, taught us that networking is the way to market yourself and business. Anyway, the gift is the jade necklace (left bottom photo).

So we arrived at noon in Hokitika, check in and drove to Franz Josef for lunch and walk the track to see the glacier. The track took one and half hour. I am not sure how long we took considering that we stopped quite a bit for photos. It is just so amazing to see the glacier. Oh we didn't get to walk on the glacier. Maybe next time. I am sure we will be back again.

You see the difference between these two photo? One is normal best shot and the other one is greens best shot. I took this using the point and shoot. The DSLR should have a better one.
