Cave Streaming

Before I went to field trip and church camp, ICF group of friends went cave streaming around Castle Hill which is about one hour drive away from Christchurch. Apparently, it was a 45 minutes walk through the cave. But I think we took longer to go through the cave. I didn't want to go through the cave in the first place when I got into the water and the highest level was above my chest. I was scared but I pushed myself to go in. I came so far and not going in? I probably wouldn't have another chance. I think I was praying almost all the way. It was also a good thing that my friends were helping me. I mean as in holding my hand to guide me and prevent me from falling down. But I did fall into the water few times and that was normal because the rocks were slippery.

I was behind Emma. It was dark inside so each of us had torch light. You can see how high the water level was when we first walked in the cave. The water level goes down as we walked further in.

The water was cold and WZ was nice to lend me his jacket to go into the water. There was a ladder at the end of the cave for us to climb out. Some people only went half way the cave and were waiting for us at the end. I was glad that I went through. So does this means that I am quite an outdoor person? Hehe..

After changing into clean dry clothes, we went to a park nearby. There were a lot of rocks around the place. That place will be one of my field trip location for next year. So I am guessing that I will be studying those rocks and the place around the area. We all climbed up the rocks to have our lunch.
