The four of us in front of the building
My friends and I had planned to go to the Christchurch Gondola today. Two of them, Farhana and Liyana came to my hall to meet and Esther drove us there. None of us had any idea how to go there so Esther took out the map and both of us worked out which route to take. As she was driving, I directed her with the map. We got there in half an hour. After taking photos in front of the building, we went inside to pay for the return ride. I think it was a 15 minute ride. The view from the gondola was really nice. I was scared as it goes up. I kept sitting in the middle, hoping to balance the gondola. Well.. there’s nothing to balance actually but I think it’s just the phobia.
The shop sells souvenirs and I thought it was quite cheap. The binis, having New Zealand on it is only $10. The cap, which we usually bought from the souvenir shop back in Wellington only cost $10. Normally we buy more than that. The goods there were really awesome. I felt like buying the whole thing.
We had dinner at the Summer CafĂ©. I had the 3 of us Malaysian had fish and chips while Esther had beef burger instead. The plate was very big and I didn’t exactly finish my dinner. What a waste. I forced myself to eat more though. We just sat there talking till it was dark enough to see the Christchurch lights. It was certainly a nice view. My camera battery went flat just when I wanted to take photos. After that, we called it a day and sent Liyana back to the city as she stayed in Uni Lodge. We got lost and tried to find the way back to Riccarton. Half way, I noticed that Farhana was leaning towards the front and I asked her to wear seat belt. She was thinking it is Malaysia as we don’t have to wear seat belts at the back of the car. At last, we found the way and sent Farhana home. It took us almost half an hour getting out from the city.

Me on the top of the gondola with the sceneries

The view from the gondola, wasn't very clear as I was scared :P
