Ouch

Yup, I went sleighing on last Saturday. It was an ICF event sleighing day.It was fun though scary. Unfortunately, I hurt myself. Well, it is dangerous because you don't fall into the snow but into bushes. I went down once. Next time, I shall check out the surroundings before deciding to go sleigh. Oh I fall sick too. Just because it's too cold. Sigh.. so now I will have to stay indoors till exams finish.



Isn't the scneries very nice? There weren't snow at sea level though so we had to drive up the hill. The photo on the right above.



Everyone warmed up before sleighing down. Throwing snow at each other was fun and painful. But it's a good feeling to be playing around, ey? Oh the picture on bottom left above is the runway for the sleighing. Hehehe.. Top right shows Em going down. Hahaha.

Down I go!!! Hehehe.. it didn't show me falling into the bushes. I have a big bruise on my left thigh now. It's painful, I think I might have had hit on some rock. Sigh, I am studying rocks and I just have to hit on the rocks.

On way

On the first day of the field trip, we had few stops while on our way to Westport. Yes, that was the place where we were staying. The place is a lodge and it belongs to university. The place wasn't that bad considering that they have central heating, just enough hot water shower for everyone and drying room. I didn't put the photos below  in order so yea.. =)



We stopped here for our lunch and brief talk before continuing our journey. It was fun walking in the snow and playing snow fight. The snow isn't that soft so it's different to the snow in Lake Tekapo. =) However, it's still snow and still 'play-able'.



I think it's Spring Junctions. Correct me if I'm wrong. It was cloudy when we reached there but in like 15 minutes, the sun was up and almost all the snow melted. Wow, the sun is that strong.



This was taken in the van. We were sitting at the back of the van, enjoying the heads view and sleeping peacefully. =)  There's more photos to come. I just need to stop to go uni library to borrow textbook to do assignment. I have been lazying around and delaying doing some work. It's so relaxing to get up at 10 in the morning this week.

Part 2 of Snow

Continue from the previous post about snow. Yea, three other friends and I went to Cashmere to play snow.

The scenery behind is Christchurch city lights. Beautiful huh..  I was posing when one of my friends threw snowball at me, of course my reaction was to throw snowball back. =)

Before Study break

Finally, I can log in to blog. Just right after I blogged in blogger. Hmm.. well, I didn't know why it kept on crashing every time I wanted to blog. Anyway, went on rock climbing on Saturday. Mian.. I do not know how to climb the rocks properly. It wasn't real rocks, btw. It is indoors. I thought I could climb since I did climbed on a real rocks in Year 13. Actually, that was like how many years ago? 3 years? I shouldn't be that good. And what, it was only one time. Arh.. so silly of me to think that I can actually climb very well.

But I did the rock climbing though. It was fun but scary when I reached the top. Actually, I was scared even before I reached the top. How pathetic. Anyway, after rock climbing, mer em and I went to Burger King for late lunch. It was actually raining quite heavily that time and very cold as well. We were on our way back to Em and my place when it snowed. We stopped by the road to play with the snow. Thinking that the snow wouldn't last long, we decided to go to Mer's place to get her camera which turned out to have low battery. So, we rushed back to Em and my place to get Em's camera. Played snow fight with them for half an hour before deciding to go to another friend's place.

This is one of the photo taken while playing in the snow. There are a few more but I don't think I will put everything in this one post. At night time, the snow looked even nice. I went to Cashmere, at the top of the mountain, with friends at night. Will update more photos up soon. =) One by one.
