Admire them

Go on. Admire the sceneries.

Photobucket

This was taken at Parson Hill. Yup, sceneries are nice. Going there takes a bit of time and sure enough, you waste petrol just to go there. But do you think it's worth it to see the views? I know it may be worthwhile for some people. For me, I thought the sceneries was breathtaking. But I think it's worth going with friends who really enjoy these. Sorry to offend those. But hey, I don't like walking but if there are friends who have the same interest as me, I would forget about my dislike for walking.

For me, it's the company that's important when I go travelling. I mean, who wants to travel with someone who doesn't enjoy the same thing as you do. I know I may sound harsh but this is the truth. Don't tell me you never thought about it.

Right, let's forget about it and enjoy the photos.

This photo was taken at Cape Foulwind. It was a long hike from the carpark. I wasn't keen on walking but I have no choice. It was part of the assessment.

Oh, I just handed in 40% of the assessment on Thursday. So now, the whole course is done. Hopefully I will pass. :D

Those black things are coal. Interesting huh?

I may have shown this picture of rock. Sorry, can't remember. You just have to deal with lookin at it again.

My friend abandoned his blog of reviews about film end of last year. I think I watched quite a lot of movies so I should be able to help contribute. But can you see me in writing reviews for movies? I think I would have a hard time since I always have nothing to talk about movies. Ask me and you will get an ok and nice movie comment. That's it.

On a side note, check out some sexy lingerie.

Rocks are beautiful

It is beautiful yea? I was so tempted to take some of the rocks back. But I did not want to carry heavy backpack while hiking through the woods and through the rocky shore. The rocky shore looks small in the picture but really, some of the rocks are half the size of me. Imagine me trying to climb the rocks in order to get to the other side.

The second photo and the last photo were where we had to study them. Maybe it wouldn't be that interesting to see the greyish rock because it was a roadcut. But these beds in the bottom photo was nearby the beach. You can enjoy walking on the beach and admire the beds at the same time. Plus, it was fun to be chased by the tides.

I am finally free from reports and assignments for now. I might start getting another assignment or assessment next week. Never ending stuff huh? Feel kind of tired of these but what to do.

Yesterday's weather was so miserable. Dull, cloudy and crying so hard. I was excited to start off the day somemore. But today, the sun decide to come out play and I don't have the mood anymore. Ish...

Visit to coal museum

I probably have already included this photo in previous posts. This is bigger than the previous one, I think. I saw on the news that there was flood in the West Coast region days after I arrived back in Christchurch. I was glad that my fellow coursemates and I don't have to battle the flood during our field trip. We only had to brace ourselves for the 'hard' splitting rain that comes once in a while.

Now the view below really take your breath off, right? It is really pretty and some people may find it worthwhile to hike and see these beautiful sceneries. For me, I would prefer to go in the car along the road and watch the views. I guess it really depends on people's personalities.

Below photos were taken at the Coal Museum in Westport. It was part of our course as we had to write discussion for one of our report.

I was told that the geol 200 level field trips has 3 streams. There were 2 streams in my year. That means, there are more people studying geology. They are all wanting to become geologists. Oh no.. that means the chance of getting a geology job is slim. Not forgetting it's the recession time so the chances are even more slimmer.

Side note: check out the diet supplements.

Hamner or Hammer

Photobucket

Isn't this photo nice? It looks like we were walking on a winding road away from the woods. It's a perfect photo. Credit to Sherp. By the way, notice something?

I did not know that the springs would look like this. I expect a natural place with the mud and rocks everywhere. My imagination went wild huh? It basically just look like we were going to swimming pool. Right, we went to springs with sherp and anu.  =P  More to come.

You know what, all of us travel so much and there are risks when we travel. How about getting travel insurance? I tell you, field trips have more risks since we hike or walk to places that most people seldom go. How about when I went to the rocky shore and sprained my ankle to get to the other side and there wasn't anyone else around? I kept thinking to myself that I will injure myself of every step I took.

Back

april

I just came back from field trip last night. We still have to work on our assessment even though it was the last day. It was just a mine tour that takes 3 hours. Photos to come. Give me time to choose a nice one to upload them. The field trip was a tiring 8 days of walking.

Now, I have quite a few stuff to catch up. Emails, washing and to do groceries too. Wait ya.. those who are supposed to get my emails. Trust me I can get very lazy. It was hard work walking up and down the hills, the beach and the rocky shores. I have muscle thigh pain from these.

Oh yea.. one of my coursemates commented on how tone my legs are. Hehee.. so the gym visiting during my summer holidays does pay off. Yes!! =) So, 60% of my field trip assessment is done. I have 40% report to do. And I think it is due on the second week of uni. I should probably start soon. But I just want to rest today and no thinking. Maybe I will do tomorrow. =P

to-delete

Anyways, I just wanted to put up some of the Hamner Springs photos here. You know what, I think I am beginning to take more interest in photography. When I was on field trip, I felt the need to take the scenic views every time the van pass by the beaches.

On a random note, check out dog supplies.

Second day

The second day started with manuscript discovery, reflection, seminar and a talk at night. Reflection was when we went to a place where we can sit down and thought about what we have learnt about ourselves or about what we have been learning. At least that is what I thought so. We had a free time after lunch till 4pm in which we decided to walk to the stream. It was a good weather to walk around as there were no sun or raining.
