Busy quiet

So I mentioned that we have been busy watching tv and spending time with friends and relatives. But we are also picking up new interest and things to learn. Wing chun is the new interest. At the moment, we are thinking of taking up kendo. Don't know what is that? Go google and you will know. Seriously, if you do a lot of things, you don't need to look out for diet that works.

You do need entertainment in your life otherwise life has no meaning. Of course, not to the extend till you are so tired and no time to rest. I guess it depends on individuals. Some people like to have busy life and some people prefer quiet life. Example like people who lives in city and in small town.

At this time of the post-earthquake, almost everyone lost their home due to the liquefaction around Canterbury. Now I know that Canterbury was once under deep water. I learnt this from my lecturer. Oh yeah, one of my lecturer was on the news. Sigh, such a big disruption huh.

Quite scary experience. I just recalled back to the time when the earthquake occur, I was talking with my colleague when the building starts shaking. I looked outside and saw the light pole shaking violently and I knew it was a big earthquake. My first thought was my mum in law at home by herself and the house in a mess. Tried to call home but the phone line was off. That night, I found out some people lost power at their home. We had power at home all the time but the water was running out. I was just thinking, oh s*** how are we going to survive if there is no water.

I am just glad and grateful that I wasn't working in the city.
