Vehicle Counting

I did not mention that on Thursday morning, I went for this survey on counting cars on one intersection. It seems like an easy job but actually it is not. You have to count continuously after every 5 minutes. Plus, it was super cold that morning. WZ was saying that why in the world did we choose that day. Well, can't predict the weather right? I was told to be there at 6.30am for briefing. I did but it starts at 7. I only reached the located intersection for me at 7.15 because the assigned location was so far. It wasn't that boring because we counted cars every minute.

So.. what did I find out? There are a lot of cars in Christchurch. Lots passed by. I am not sure if those cars really did passed by 3 or 4 times. I mean, when people went to work and drove to city to find parking. You do go round the places looking for carpark. I finished at 9.30 and went back to the hall to return the counting gear and rushed back to uni for my lecture.

Oh ya.. I lost my contact on the way. I always wonder how in the world did people manage to get the contact inside their eye. Now I know. It was just a blink, blink and then, you can't see anything. I could feel that it went up and I tried to make it come down. I wasn't nervous or panic when it went in though. I think I was confident that it would come down eventually. Manage to take one picture of my view of the intersection I was assigned to. =)
