Dubai Holiday in January 2006

We made a quick decision to go to Dubai this week. It was an exciting trip and we knew better this time. We drove to Muscat early in the morning and checked in few hours later. After arriving Dubai, our first stop, of course, was the hotel. J Although there a lot of shopping malls, we only chose to go to the big and beautiful malls, such as the Emirates Mall, Deira City Centre and Ibn Battuta Mall (six malls in one destination).

We took the photos of the malls ourselves though there are brochures provided. We bought a lot of things from Deira City Centre and Emirates Malls as there were more sales than the six malls in one destination. Plus, the two malls were crowded.

Dubai Gold Suoq is also one of the tourist attractions where tourist buys gold jewellery. We took the boat across the river to go to the Gold Suoq.

Both Sherlene and I bought our ball dress there for next year. Hehe!!

Unlike last time, we did not walked too long in the electronics street. I bought my handphone in Carrefour on the first day. I thought it was kind of early as there were quite a lot of nice and cheaper ones there.

I also bought a bag, worth DHS 400 originally. After discount, it was DHS 99. The bag is really nice. I don’t think you could find a nice bag like this in Malaysia or NZ for that kind of price.
