Last Monday, I went to the Northland Shopping Mall with Liyana. It was fun going out with her. At least I have a friend here who can go shopping with me when I want to. We also had long conversations, this is important or else it would be awkward. Hehe! :) Anyway, we went through the shops and both of us bought something. I bought a coat. I've been eyeing the price since the beginning of the year. The price has gone down which was why I decided to buy it. During lunch, we were chatting while eating when a man asked us to keep an eye on his granddaughter while he cleaned the table beside us where they were going to sit. The little girl was so cute and she kept looking at me. Haha! After we were done, we said goodbye to the man. Before we left, he asked where we are from. It turned out that the man was from Kuching and even gave us his business card and asked us to contact him if anything. Wow.. there are really a lot of Malaysians in Christchurch. It's great to know that someone else also offer to help us.
This week, I have been studying till late and I get really sleepy in my 8am Maths class. Anyway, tomorrow is the last day of lectures and I don't have to get up early. I have also finished my Physics Writing Course class which always last from 5 to 6pm. It's a good thing that I got a friend from the hall to walk with me after 6pm as it is already dark. I really have to socialize a bit like talking to others otherwise I will be branded as 'the not sociable person'.
Just now, I had dinner with a few others and the principal. We had some good conversation apart from a moment of silence in the senior common room. We actually talked about weather, ski, snow and engineering course. Benjamin, also known as Bunny, helped to start conversations. At the end after the principal thanked us for the 'wonderful' conversation, the rest of us also thanked Bunny as he did always started the conversation.
