Well, I should have written this before. But anyway…
On the evening of 4 Dec 2004, an Air NZ flight took off the runaway of Wellington International Airport. It was a fine weather that day. One hour later, the plane landed in Auckland Airport. As our flight is on the next day, we have to stay overnight in Budget Inn. The inn was quite old, the ceiling was creaking, makes us awake all night.
The next day, we checked in our entire luggage and then went through the passport control. After our breakfast at McDonalds, we went to the boarding gate, waiting patiently for our departure. Then, an announcement came through, stating that our flight was delayed. By then, we were impatient. I was glancing around when I noticed a familiar face of a friend, whom I had not seen for three years. I had a strong feeling I know him but I dared not ask (note that I had an embarrassing experience recognizing people).
So we arrived in Brunei at 6pm on the same day (time zone difference), came out to meet grandma, “big” uncle, “big” aunty and “yiyi” aunty.
After that, our journey continues to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). As the flight was at night, the plane has comfortable seats and variety of movies. I chose to watch the movies all night so when we arrived in Dubai, I was very tired and sleepy. We had to wait for 7 hours for the connecting flight to Muscat, capital city of Oman.
Finally, at 10 am, we arrived in Muscat. There was a long queue at the passport control so by the time, we meet my dad, and it was already noon. Now, I thought it was the end of the long flight. But I was wrong. We had to fly to Dubai the next day. This means that we have to go on an airplane again.
